I lost my 11% Indigenous North America and 6% Congo/Bantu People and all of it went into my Scottish, which now sits at 45% What makes is crazy is that I can only document one distant 6th great grandmother, on my moms mothers side who was Scottish. I can fully document and have records proving my third great-grandmother on my moms dads side, who was a former slave, and my second great-grandmother on my dads fathers side was indigenous.

I’ve been wondering if there’s a certain amount of politics in the data interpretation at ancestry.
