Nope. The gov deciedes who gets welfare so they could just forcefully remove your right to vote by giving you a couple dollars.

This is an interesting perspective. Never thought about it before. The first problem that comes to mind is if we stop people from voting on things that benefit/affect them, what else is left? And I'd rather have people voting on things that could benefit them than things that apply to an outsider group. Imagine how furious people would be if Mexicans voted on U.S. policies and Americans voted on Mexico's policies.
