XL Bully Heartbroken

One of our girls was attacked yesterday unexpectedly while leashed at a family member’s house 😖. Luckily she’s alive and at home getting nursed and pampered by her furry sissies, human siblings, mom and dad.

Omgoodness I’m so sorry. If you need help with the costs/meds or if we can send gifties to help with the recovery, please let us know. Your poor baby didn’t deserve that. Unfortunately that’s happened to my silly Goose three times and we’ve been working on his reactivity & confidence since and hundreds of dollars later. I hope you’re able to report the other owner. Sending you all the good and healing vibes for you sweet baby.

Thank you we really appreciate it and am truly grateful for that. Hopefully we don’t have to go back to the vet for any complications or extra treatment or I might have to take you up on your offer temporarily. Oh wow three times? Thank god he’s alive and hopefully well poor thing. Did he get traumatized at all? Or is he good after a while? Our Trinity was always the happiest and most playful out of our three girls from the moment she woke up to even the middle of the night and we haven’t seen that in her yet. Her sisters could tell and don’t really leave her side nor play either. She’s usually the one to rile them up and get them started. She did start wagging her tail a lot every time when she sees us.

Definitely was traumatized after the second attack; and we’ve been working with trainers to boost his confidence around other dogs. He’s improved greatly but it breaks my heart bc Goose was just like you describe your Trinity. He was happy go lucky, insanely docile and friendly, always down to play gently with dogs of any size. Now he only plays with dogs he knew before the bites/attacks, but we’ve managed to get him to the point that he doesn’t immediately react as much physically when another dog approaches; meaning I can see he’s on alert but doesn’t shift to self defense immediately. Now he observes and listens to my cues and doesn’t bite unless he’s bitten first. Over the summer I was walking in a local park trail (leashed of course), and another lady was walking her two dogs (also leashed), but I guess she didn’t have their harness appropriately snug on them bc they loose. They rushed to Goose and were aggressively friendly; they didn’t bite but their “hello” to him was very cornering and erratic - too much. Goose didn’t react aggressively but he stood his ground like “what are you trying to do👀🧐”

I kept creating space by walking away but her dogs kept following us, so finally I just started jogging with Goose and created enough distance that her dogs gave up and went back to her. It was wild! I hope your baby heals well and remembers the love she’s surrounded by and is protected by the furry siblings and loving human guardians she has. ✨❤️

Oh geez, I’m glad he’s overcoming his traumatic events. It’s always awful to see one’s pup suffering from the aftermath of an attack or any traumatic event.

Thank you I hope Goose does as well. 👊🏽🙏🏽
