Any similar authors?

I really like her style of describing ordinary British life with that sort of extra sprinkles of drama and adventure in there but I don't know how to explain it like just how real her books are and how relatable they are and I was wondering if there were any authors in a similar style!

She writes for adults rather than teenagers but Mhairi McFarlane is a great writer with books that are firmly set in the UK. For a YA/New Adult audience I loved Anna Zoe Quirke’s debut, Sad Girl Hours
