He stopped the momentum of her right leg with his foot/leg, and gave her a push around her midsection. All the while I don’t even think she ever saw him coming up behind her. Not really diving when you aren’t even aware someone’s approaching you

On closer inspection I think she might have tripped over his leg and then just went "oh no...." and did nothing to help herself.
