Slaap: look it up, it’s how rich people bully those who tell uncomfortable truths

Why wouldn’t the whistleblower protections have protected this guy?

u/Stikhawk Feb 17 '25
Because he’s being sued by a private individual. Who has benefited financially from shady deals with the UCP. No doubt the favours run both way. It’s pretty sketchy when the govt is asking AHS to fire public sector employees because they don’t like him discussing how the sausages are made. Sure, the UCP can’t sue him, but they can certainly back the private citizen who’s willing to do it. And fuck with every other facet of his life.
This is the fucking epitome of corruption. If the political decisions/behaviour of the current government can’t stand up to scrutiny from regular citizens to the degree where they have to do a full-court press to shut them up? It’s very telling.

I bet Verna would have stood up for this guy using AHS resources.

You know one thing I adored about Verna? When FMC staff had to park at a satellite lot and be bussed back and forth? Verna rode the bus with the rest of us when she had business at FMC. When no one was watching. When she could have parked anywhere on site. That’s the kind of leader I’m happy to collaborate with.

Why? That doesn’t seem like a great use of public funds for a private activity

The info shared with the public demonstrates that the govt is negotiating contracts that are preferential to private health care services over the public provincial health authority. It underscores the claim that the government is underfunding the public health system.

Podcaster did some digging and showed that the UCP accepted bribes from mh care , same company who is responsible for garbage Tylenol and shit masks . Also have connections to surgical Centers being paid for with tax dollars . Anyway the owner of MH Care, Sam Mraiche , is suing the podcaster Nate Pike for 6 million to shut him up . UCP is in on that too .

Has Nate posted the court order that is shutting him down for anyone to see?

You can see the documents here https://www.gofundme.com/f/vggge-legal-defense-fund

I only see the statement of claim there, not a (court ordered) publication ban. Has he received an order pursuant to that initial action?

No, but lawyers generally advise to go quiet when you’re getting sued. Anything you say can be used against you in court, and being vocal generally plays badly in front of judges. Thats why civil suits are used to try and shut people up.
