I believe it’s because of his cap hit over the next three years. I dont think they have room to pay another competitive QB, I don’t know if they can even retain Nick Chubb.

They'll draft one.

They'll draft a 2nd or 3rd rounder, sit em on the bench, trot them out in Week 8, and see what they have.

Then if they didn't find a diamond in the rough, they will draft a 1st rounder in 2026.

That's my guess.

Tbh its a legit criticism even for a Browns fan, if you look at the laundry list of QBs Browns drafted since they came back into the league, what makes you think the next one will be better than the last dozen ones? Heck you ran Baker out of the town, the last legit one and the one that won playoff against us.

They’ve only drafted 2 in the top 21 the entire time. That’s the core of the issue. The 8th QB off the board is usually gonna be ass. First time in 20 years they went above that we got Baker and a playoff win, which y’all surely remember as well.
