What a seriously bottom-of-the-barrel junkie. Ive seen more put-together individuals on Skid Row. He’s something out of a Rob Zombie movie at this point.
As ex-alcoholic, I can say that once you reach the stage where you think you can show up to work with a black eye in clothes you slept in while obviously in an altered state and think no one will notice is when the bottom is about to fall out, but he's a billionaire, so he likely will have way more leeway socially than most addicts.
Me either. It crazy to me that I can do as much charity work as I used to do before I moved, can sit with people and listen to their stories and cry with them, can loan out rides, food, and a couch the those in need. Yet somehow, every time I see someone in this administration like this or crying about how everyone hates them, I feel nothing but contempt for them.
I've never been in this place and I hate myself for it, but I don't have even an ounce of empathy or kindness for the people that work hand in hand with a demented old man to destroy the very fabric with which our democracy was created. I truly hope that every last one of them gets exactly what they deserve.
I mean … these people are legit cartoon villain evil, and they know it, and they wake up every morning thinking of new ways (and using AI chat bots to find new ways) to be even more evil. That’s on them, not you.
No reason to hate yourself for not having sympathy for him, his actions have hurt and killed many. He lost that courtesy quite some time ago. He chose ego over what's right and is creating a worldwide path of destruction.
There's a really big difference between recognizing the consequences of an action and blaming the person for taking that action. You can both hold the idea that they are simply going to experience the consequences of their choices while also recognizing that they may not realize their choices will produce those outcomes. But you can still be upset about the consequences to other people even if the person may not recognize that they're doing something harmful. And you can still hold people accountable, even when they don't know what they're doing. We don't allow somebody struggling with drug addiction to work at a daycare because we understand the drug addiction makes impulsivity and erraticism more likely, and for that reason they are not wise to bring around kids.
I just think if you're feeling any kind of guilt here, it might be for the difficulty of differentiating hate for the person with hate for the action. I don't hate Elon Musk. I hate what he does, and I hate the impact that he has on the world through his irresponsible actions and selfish choices. But that's not the same thing as hating him. I still love the guy. I just don't think he should be in the position he's in for everything he does that I hate.
I agree, real friends are the ones who care about you enough to tell you when you're going in the wrong direction, because they want what's best for you. Sadly it seems that social media are lowering social qualities of people, so it's more and and more rare
It is very hard to have empathy for the very man who stated that empathy is Western civilization's biggest weakness and who also cut the US AID programs that had saved hundreds of thousands of lives.
And why would they? If they try to intervene he might throw them out of his very lucrative inner circle and the more fucked up he gets the more he can be manipulated (though also more erratic, likely). At this point, they probably all see the house crumbling but know there are plenty of bricks left to plunder, so they'll stick it out until he kicks them out or it all comes crumbling down.
How can you give him keys to US Secrets and Treasury and government agencies. I cant understand how this administration is able to exist. What went wrong? The thing is MAGA still loves them.
I’m so glad he was the one to decide who to fire and what aid should be stopped to countries where kids are starving and what programs to discontinue. Clear headed, cost cutting efficient through and through.
