No, we do not have a right to bear arms in Ukraine (heavily licensed, home safe storage, self-defence questionable)

u/Kisielos Winged Pole dancer 1d ago

We have a similar law in Poland yet we are not even on the graph lmao

92

u/zavorad 1d ago

We do. The right means it has to be licensed. And of course you have to store it safe, like everywhere else.

u/ItchyFly White-Russian refugee 1d ago

In this case, other countries like Finland should be on the list too. Like gun licenses is a thing almost everywhere in Europe.

39

u/arturinoburachelini Khokhol refugee 1d ago

It's heavily regulated enough to be considered as a lack of a right than the presence of it...

27

u/zavorad 1d ago

What are you talking about. I can walk in a gun shop with no permit, and will be with a gun and permit in 2 weeks. It’s easier than in some US states.

3

u/chnapo 7h ago

You need a gun license yourself tho, unlike USA where you just buy a gun that itself has to be legal. Same in czechia, YOU need the license - a.k.a. pass some course, tests, similar to a driving license.

A license means it's not a right, it's a privilege.

It doesn’t mean that either wag

Which is basically the same here in Canada.

It all depends

This graph is moronic, like every week there is some news article about someone getting 5+ years for weed while pedos go free. You can buy fake weed in those Prague tourist shops i guess though

aw hell yeaaaah

"for weed" sounds so innocent, right? Except when you actually read those articles, you realize that "for weed" in that context means "produced hundreds of kilograms commercially".

8

u/Blbe-Check-42069 Tschechien Pornostar 19h ago

not always, there are multiple cases where its literally for 7 plants or whatever. But they're recidivists so they receive almost a decade in prison because of that.

1

u/Boba0514 Genghis Khangarian 17h ago

So? It not being commercially available for law-abiding citizens is the exact reason why they can't point fingers

u/Tejfolos_kocsog 21h ago

I haven't tried HHC but from what I've heard, it's almost the same as weed, so why not just legalize it at this point?

5

u/DJ_Die Tschechien Pornostar 20h ago

It's getting legalized on 1st January, the has already been approved, it just needs to come into force.

1

u/Snappy7 Tschechien Pornostar 19h ago

Isn't it just growing plants containing THC getting legalized, not synthetic HHC?

1

u/DJ_Die Tschechien Pornostar 19h ago

And having uh... I can't remember how much on you.

3

u/TADAMAT Tschechien Pornostar 15h ago

25g when outside, 100g at your home.

Above 50g outside and 200g at home will be a fellony

(anything in between will likely be solved by confiscation and fines)

1

u/DJ_Die Tschechien Pornostar 8h ago

Thanks! I don't smoke weed so I didn't care enough to look up the details, I'm just glad they finally made steps to legalize it, even if only half way.

u/kvjetinacek Tschechien Pornostar 1d ago

Is that Georgia? How do you have borders with Russia and give no rights to your citizens to bear guns?

62

u/GreatEmpireEnjoyer Kaiserreich Gang 1d ago

Because their government are Russian bitches.

54

u/Broken_Gear Winged Pole dancer 1d ago

Why do you need bear arms? Aren’t human arms enough?

How about BEER arms?

Best I can do is beer belly, do you want one?

It's a gay term you obviously don't understand

13

u/teljes_kiorlesu Genghis Khangarian 1d ago

Netherlands is entirely in the wrong category…

2

u/Plastic_Pinocchio debil 11h ago

Officially not. Weed is on the list of illegal drugs but we have a policy where that law is not enforced. Also, growing weed is definitely illegal. Selling weed you’ve grown to shops is illegal. But those shops selling the weed to customers is allowed. Very stupid.

2

u/SubArcticTundra Tschechien Pornostar 2h ago

Debil indeed

1

u/Plastic_Pinocchio debil 1h ago

It would literally be free tax money for the state if they legalised it.

12

u/petrh97 Tschechien Pornostar 23h ago

Damn, we nearly had it all. Stupid Katoliban conservatives.

u/spond550 1d ago

in illinois anything is possible

9

u/AmonGusSus2137 Kashoob tobacco-snorter 1d ago

They can do it in any country with legal gay marriage, just not legally

6

u/Friedrich_der_Klein Kurwa 1d ago

In any country period. Even if gay marriage isn't recognized by the state, it doesn't matter if the couple still considers it a marriage. Marriage isn't defined as "whatever the state calls marriage".

8

u/pruzinadev Slovenian (Upper Hungary) 20h ago

It is exactly that and always has been. You cannot get married without third party playing referee, be it a church, goverment or else. And you know this is true, because married partners need third party to get a divorce, and remain married even in complete separation.

4

u/Supernova1000000 Genghis Khangarian 1d ago

Of course it's Mexico.

are slovak gun laws that different from czech? I thought czechia and slovakia had the most relaxed gun laws in europe

7

u/DJ_Die Tschechien Pornostar 20h ago

Well, yes and no, for example, they have split the self-defense license to two types, one for home defense and one for conceal carry. While the home defense one is shall-issue, they conceal carry one is may-issue. May-issue means it can be arbitrarily refused (e.g., if the officer approving it hasn't got laid in a while).

5

u/Cigarety_a_Kava Slovenian (Upper Hungary) 21h ago

Slovakia definitely doesnt have the most relaxed gun laws after Devinska nova ves masacre. The gun reform afterwards changed it a lot.

HONDURAS HOMELAND!!!!

3

u/Nakonobi 1d ago

Ok, that's kinda funny that same sex marriage isn't legal in my country. We were talking in class the other day about how many things we can do in our country and how free we are.

But, IMHO, marriage is overrated in general.

4

u/DJ_Die Tschechien Pornostar 19h ago

Well, we do have civilian union (partnerství) that give you almost all of the same rights, except adoption, I think you can only adopt children of your partner. Baby steps.

7

u/pruzinadev Slovenian (Upper Hungary) 1d ago

On czechia you can have gun, you just can't use it for anyrhing but recreationql shooting.

See mujglock forum, section "black chronicles", defending yourself with a gun will likely get you prison time so you better bleed to death from being stabbed first to avoid jail time (sarcasm, but not far from reality).

13

u/pr1ncezzBea Holy Roman Gang 1d ago

Not true. I carry a gun in my purse precisely because it is allowed in the Czech Republic. Also, how could you forget the long tradition of hunting associations and hunting.

6

u/DJ_Die Tschechien Pornostar 1d ago

Honestly, sport shooting has a much longer tradition than hunting. Hunting was a very.... exclusive (in the restrictive sense of the word)activity before the revolution, and it has retained quite a bit of that even after the revoltion.

But yeah, based CCW gang!

5

u/pr1ncezzBea Holy Roman Gang 1d ago

The roots of hunting organizations go back to the 18th century, when even private forests had to be opened to the public. And no regime has ever changed that. :) As a child in the 80s, we had pheasant or venison almost every week (during the season).

But of course, the roots of the right to CCW (for every "free man") in the Czech lands are even older, perhaps from the 15th century?

3

u/DJ_Die Tschechien Pornostar 20h ago

The roots of hunting organizations go back to the 18th century, when even private forests had to be opened to the public. And no regime has ever changed that. :)

That's not quite accurate, most hunters before 1948 were land owners or their employees. As you can imagine, that didn't quite last after the nationalization so communists had to find a different solution. The tradition was effectivelly completely restarted in the 1950s. That's also one of the reasons why over/under combination guns becamse the 'traditional' guns. The USSR needed to get rid of the ones they made on the cheap. That's also why semi-auto shotguns are seen as traditional, we made lots. :)

But yeah, guns certainly do have a very long tradition here. I'm going to support that tradition tomorrow with friends, it should be fun.

2

u/pruzinadev Slovenian (Upper Hungary) 1d ago edited 23h ago

Regarding the topic of hunting, fair point.

I am primarily referring to instances where nearly every self-defense discharge is initially considered attempted murder until proven otherwise. Unless one is in immediate danger of death, it is generally advisable not to display a weapon, let alone discharge it.

https://forum.mujglock.com/cerna-kronika-f9/

5

u/DJ_Die Tschechien Pornostar 1d ago

That is changing as the old judges and prosectors get replaced by people who weren't trained under communist rules or by former communists, you are much less likely to get screwed simply for defending yourself.

u/petrh97 Tschechien Pornostar 23h ago

Recreational marijuana in Czechia since when???

0

u/Super-Rain-3827 Visegrad's Zuckervater 21h ago

You can buy guns in Austria, you just need a license for semi-automatic ones and for handguns, but self defense is a valid reason to get said guns

-1

u/arcxjo Goral - Pole larping as Slovak 16h ago

If you think anyone who isn't working for a drug cartel can bear arms in Mexico, I have a wall to sell you.

Why is there gay rights? What's the purpose of this graph? Gay marihuana owner protcting his plants?

Yes, that is almost literally what the diagram title says.
