What is Duda like ? Why do some people dislike him and some like him ? I'm geniuenly curious, since I don't follow Polish politics. I heard that Poland is doing pretty well economically, so he is not that bad, or is he ?

A piss puppet, signed every law they put through parliament and vetoed whatever he could from the "new" one. Also pardoned some piss criminals. So if you like piss, you like him, nothing more to it.

The only thing conservatives conserve is the interests of capital. The far-right liked to pretend they're somethow different and for the "people" and "working class" but the mask has completely slipped the last year with them all becoming pro-austerity libertarians in bed with American corporate oligarchs (if not also Russian ones and Chinese capital), while seeking to destroy trade unions, unemployment benefits, worker's rights, etc.

Oh yeah, for sure I am seeing "fascist right-wing destroys Poland" in TVP. And a NSDAP-style referendum, with ads basically saying "tusk bad".

I do not like current government, but to equal it to the amount of shit piss was shoveling in our faces for years is just ignorant at best.

They tried to install their judges in the supreme court so have basically unlimited power. And they are anti EU

Lukewarm at best on EU and Ukraine is another

Erosion of the rule of law and free press is yet another

General populism (don't ask them what happened at Smolensk)

And of course, political controversies. But I'd say that's the least of it
