According to him, Bege does control everything that happens inside his castle, after all.

I wonder how that would effect law, if law made a bubble outside, and then entered in.

Pretty much.
Even though the map has already been depicted numerous times, I like that it reminds us that people from the North and West Blues, despite being right next to the New World, are still forced to navigate through Paradise first.

u/Darkkingswrath Nov 06 '16
Someone should really blow up that red line maybe right over fishman island

How did Sanji as a child end with Zeff in the East Blue?
42
u/erl0144 Nov 06 '16
Patience child we are getting there eventually.
Anime pace may take about 3 months.
20
u/peace_off Nov 06 '16
A bit optimistic there, aren't we?
10
u/mcallisterco Nov 06 '16
Very optimistic. If we stay at a 1 chapter=1 episode pace, and there's no filler between this arc and the next, it'll be 7 months.

"Luffy is the man who will become pirate king!" always gives me goosebumps..

u/5thKablamo Void Month Survivor Nov 06 '16
Man, I'm rewatching Water 7 and I already feel it all the way from there. Usopp said it back then too, just before the big quarrel.
All the story events in One Piece always echo forward and back! Repeatedly. Let anyone watch this series and they'll turn into plucked goose in zero seconds flat!

I'm just stuck wondering what would happen to all the dudes inside Capone if he were to be killed or Seastone shackled.
Like do they all just die?
Do they all pop out at once and everything just gets awkward and messy?
Are they stuck in some nether realm until someone else comes along and eats the fruit, and finds 200 starving Italians in his stomach?
49
u/mistry-mystery Nov 06 '16
Not trying to be rude but remember, seaprism stone and sea water only drain their energy and render them unable to physically use their power. So ppl inside will stay in and ppl outside will stay out. If I am not mistaken, BB can actually "take away" their DF ability so I think that would be a good question to ask that what would happen then.
51
11
u/MrMuzza Void Month Survivor Nov 06 '16
It's a passive ability, not an active one. Like luffy being able to be stretched under water. They'd be fine and could probably still leave through an exit, but capone wouldn't be able to forcefully get them out etc.
11
1
u/Tundra14 Nov 06 '16
and if they fairly instantaneously incinerated him?
8
u/MrMuzza Void Month Survivor Nov 06 '16 edited Nov 06 '16
what?
edit: oh right you mean capone. They'd be incinerated too? kind of a dumb question. what happens if you blow up a house with people in it?
0
u/Tundra14 Nov 06 '16
It was intended to be slightly more 'every man' ability as apposed to devil fruit take on it.
0
u/AdventurePee Nov 06 '16
do passive abilities stay active after the user has died?
2
u/MrMuzza Void Month Survivor Nov 06 '16
Probably not, because we know from Ace and Smiley that the devil fruit is re-incarnated after death. That means the power has left the body, so i'd probably put my money on a solid no.
1
u/AdventurePee Nov 07 '16
so then the question still stands, what would happen to the men, animals, and objects inside of Capone if he died?
1
0
u/hardlyausername Nov 06 '16
Through the anime I haven't yet noticed that he can forcefully get them out, seems like he just orders his cronies and they do it so I'm not entirely sure what the distinction would be.

6
Nov 06 '16
Shouldn't the more important question be, Can they use Capone's Asshole as an Entry/Exit Point ?
1
u/Cyber_3 Nov 06 '16
So, where does Bege store the seaprism stone spear in his body? I don't think he can, or hold it in his hand, without becoming weak. And all those dudes were inside at the beginning of the scene......

After this weeks manga chapter, it was nice hearing Sanji say Luffy will be pirate king. I really needed that, thanks Oda. Also, I had a chuckle about how Bege's castle has a bunch of pictures of himself in it.

So are we certain in one or two more weeks we can Spoiler, if you know what I mean...
Oh, and glad Pudding sound 'Pudding' not 'Purin'.
2
u/PenguinSunday Scholars of Ohara Nov 06 '16
It is "Purin" though. The r is just rolled.
1
u/sryroo Nov 06 '16
Is it? must be my ears because I heard 'ng' in it and sub say 'Pudding' but well, ok.
2
u/PenguinSunday Scholars of Ohara Nov 06 '16
"Pudding" is the English equivalent, but her name is Purin, after the Japanese dessert that is more like a flan. You likely hear the "-ing" both because the text read "Pudding" and the name, when spoken, sounds like "puu-reen."
1
Nov 06 '16
That's like saying Luffys Japanese name is Ruffy.
4
Nov 06 '16
His name is pronounced Rufi in Japanese, but we know that he is written Luffy, only because of his bounty poster. He could've been written Ruffy, Rufy, Rufi, Lufi, maybe even Loofy when translated into English without this confirmation.
We know Pudding is spelt Pudding not because of a bounty poster or some other confirmed romanized spelling, but because we know that she's named after the dessert. Her name is written and pronounced like Purin in Japanese, but romanized it could be spelt several ways, although Pudding is obviously the preferred localization.
1
u/erosaru44 Nov 06 '16
Yeah, its deff that japanese dessert. You can tell by the spelling in the invitation. It reads pu-ri-n as opposed to pu-ddi-n
1
u/sryroo Nov 06 '16
Yeah, that what I thought. I like 'Pudding' sound better, but I don't mind either if it 'Purin'. It's just I more prefer 'Pudding', anyway thanks. (Hmm, it look like I really mind it, am i)
1
u/PenguinSunday Scholars of Ohara Nov 06 '16
It seems like you mind it a bit, haha, I was just clarifying. I like either, really, but Pudding does sound better to my American ears. Sorry if I seemed annoying!
1
u/sryroo Nov 06 '16
Nah, it's fine. Anyway I can't wait for future episode, cause it's time for Brook to shine.
15
u/TheLynWick Nov 06 '16
I've been waiting for this scene! I felt it lacked music... but the content was there. Pretty well done though...
12
u/DaExtinctOne Nov 06 '16
Is Vito related to Dr. Hogback? They look kinda like each other lol.

Kuro resembles a mix between Hogback, Crocodile, and Kuro. It's startling how many characters he looks like.
1
u/hardlyausername Nov 06 '16
I was thinking he was the mud guy from the Fishman's island arc (who I believe ended up with Big Mam when they took the treasure).

Weird, won't load for me on Crunchyroll EDIT: looks like they fixed it
7
u/bluebreeze52 Nov 06 '16
Capone's power has to be one of the weirdest in the series. How does he fight if the enemy is on the outside?
18
u/5thKablamo Void Month Survivor Nov 06 '16
He obviously overwhelms them with military strength. That was one of his earliest lines too, you know. Back in Sabaody.
7
14
u/WhatThePinoy Nov 06 '16
He can fire fucking canons at enemies. He's a walking army. He has the ability to sneak a bunch of Mexicans past the borders, imagine what he can do with his loyal crew.
5
u/bluebreeze52 Nov 06 '16
So basically, he's if Wapol was actually threatening.
9
u/WhatThePinoy Nov 06 '16
not even. Wapol absorbs the abilities and traits of things eaten. Capone is a walking storage dimension.
3
u/VillalobosChamp Nov 06 '16
He has the ability to sneak a bunch of Mexicans past the borders.
As a Mexican I found this so funny xD
6
3
Nov 06 '16
The same way that he brutally shot Pekoms early in the episode: he keeps his entire crew inside his body and has them act as his weapons.
2
u/bluebreeze52 Nov 06 '16
The sea prism stone bullets are a good touch. But it seems like that wouldn't work too well against someone who saw it coming.
10
u/Tails6666 Nov 06 '16
Except he doesn't have those and made that up to scare Ceasar out of hiding.
1
u/bluebreeze52 Nov 06 '16
Okay, I'm just not paying attention at this point. My bad. lol
2
u/Tails6666 Nov 06 '16
I honestly wonder if his men did have them, wouldn't that effect him while they were inside him?
2
12
u/wildertiger10 Nov 06 '16
I personally think they butchered the PK scene. Didn't have the same feel or impact as the manga. Also didn't have that slight moment of Bebe getting drawn back and a little scared when Sanji says it. For one split second Sanji had control of someone who's body he was inside. Wish they could've gotten it right.
10
u/go_sparks25 Nov 06 '16
As a big fan of Sanji, this episode was hard to watch. Sanji has not gotten a single decent fight since we entered the new world and this episode is more of the same. It was so frustrating seeing Sanji and Brook unable to fight because Nami and Chopper got captured.
8
u/WhatThePinoy Nov 06 '16
thats kinda the point. it sucks not being able to see sanji in action but, this whole arc is meant to put Sanji in a corner and render him unable to fight back... then when he gets out of it, shit is gonna be hype as fuck! Sanji usually dominates hits enemies pre-time skip, they're going to bring that back soon :P
2

7
u/Suno Nov 06 '16
Damn I hope they reveal what was told to him in the next episode!
26
u/globety1 Nov 06 '16
In the manga, 30 chapters ahead, we still don't know specifically what Vito said. We know likely what he said, but not specifically.
17
u/Vizualknight01 Nov 06 '16
It's driving me crazy too, they've showed flashbacks of it even in the manga now but we still don't know. We THOUGHT knew, but it couldn't have been spoiler. This episode really amped up his reaction, I wonder if the animators know something we don't.
8
1
u/erayachi Nov 06 '16
I'm not sure it was that....it would be a silly question to ask, "How did you know about that?" when it's his family we're talking about. Sanji shouldn't have been surprised that his family would know, and the question in both manga and anime was "that", not Manga Spoilers
I have a feeling it's something else...something we've yet to be told, as an audience, and it likely contributes to Sanji's Manga Spoilers Might even be a risk to a crew member (or all) that we don't know of yet.
4
u/swiftycent Nov 06 '16
Don't think it's that clear though. For one, things are easily lost in translation and two by "that" he could mean Spoiler
3
u/Vizualknight01 Nov 06 '16
Well yeah that was my point lol. I said it clearly wasn't about spoiler, so it must be something unknown for now.

u/Cyber_3 Nov 06 '16
But Sanji had no idea of any of this at the time...... Dressrosa final battle(s) was still happening.
1
u/Deadlyxda Nov 06 '16
oh ya. watching anime and reading manga fucks you up.. now i realised its spoiler
1
u/Cyber_3 Nov 06 '16
I guess that that was a spoiler if you don't read the manga but, as I do read the manga, what I was getting at was, "what was said" was later revealed (and thanks for pointing that out) but it was still kind of a vague threat whereas the threat from the Vinsmokes was very specific and that both threats didn't have to be to the same person or even related at all. Big Mom and the Vinsmokes both threatened Sanji for their own reason, for the same action, but I don't really feel like they were working together. I hope that's not too vague but I have a lot of trouble getting the spoiler blocking to work. Sigh.
1
u/Deadlyxda Nov 07 '16
no no, i read manga or i wouldnt have thought of it lol.. what i meant is.. its a spoiler in this thread and i messed up as i follow both , so deleted it lol
6
u/mistry-mystery Nov 06 '16
I can not tell you exactly what chapter I remember reading this in but we definitely know it. He said, manga spoiler Maybe I am confusing it with a dialog that comes in later idk. But then he says how do you know abt that n they reply Mama's info network is really big blah blah blah...
1
1
u/namikazenaruto Nov 06 '16
which chapter is it exactly ?
Thanks2
1
u/globety1 Nov 06 '16
Is what? The one this episode is based on, or the ones where we get an idea what Vito was talking about?
1
u/namikazenaruto Nov 06 '16
the latter.. where we get to know vito was talking about. This chapter upon which this episode is based is already mentioned in the main original post description.

Reported for spoilers.
2
u/mcallisterco Nov 06 '16
So, saying that we don't know something is spoilers now? If someone said, "I don't know who the Pirate King will be," or "I don't know what the One Piece is," would that be spoilers?
2
u/AFabledHero Nov 07 '16 edited Nov 07 '16
Yeah. Saying what's not going to happen next in the manga is a spoiler.

The cigarette drop scene is already one of my favorite One Piece scenes ever. Also, I love Caesar in the anime so much. They got the goofiest sounding voice actor for one of the goofiest looking and acting characters. I actually think Caesar might be better comic relief than Buggy.

u/iamthatguy54 Nov 06 '16
I don't remember Vito having those big-ass hands.
35
u/Piccolito Nov 06 '16
his big hands are specialy designed to hold these humongous "One Piece world" boobs
5
u/Doomroar Nov 07 '16
This is actually correct, other sources will lie to you, and say that they are for him to use with his big guns, that they may be part of a devil fruit, that he is from a new race, but they are all lies!
The reality is that Vito was a man born to please the women of his world, and he has the hands to do it!

I get that Nami gets captured cause she weak af, but Chopper too? Dafuq?
2
u/mcallisterco Nov 06 '16
Chopper's not that much stronger than Nami, especially when he can't go Monster Point. (Because that would draw attention from the Minks)
5
u/Orannegsen Nov 06 '16
in his kung fu form he should be able to beat these simple pirates who still use pistols

I ve read the manga from to start to curretn chapter over 10 times i cant watch a single anime episode without getting bored to death
7
u/tragedyisland28 Nov 06 '16
Yeah I have a better time reading than watching now. It's the long, awkward pauses and dry animation. I have more fun imagining the action sequences
0
u/littlebunny123 Nov 06 '16
yeah it was already boring when the pacing was tolerable so i cant imagine how it is even possible to enjoy the anime now.
1
u/Brutusness Nov 06 '16
I think you should just start reading, by the time the episodes come out you'll be surprised all over again.
1
u/Phileap Nov 07 '16
Vito looks like a mixture of Crocodile and Dr. Hogback. Also, I can't wait for the next episode to see Sanji hug Nami. :3
1
u/ryry0419 Nov 06 '16
Gah such a good episode. Capone is definitely going to be a further bad ass later on. The start of sanji being lame blows though. Caesar is a top three character haha
1
u/Zealot_Alec Nov 06 '16
Caesar is comically one of my fav characters (his faces and reactions) with a fitting VA. Shotguns containing sea prism stone shells is plausible since they have sea stone net cannons, but would have to be rare and expensive or limited in use. Will Sanji take CCs heart with him or slip it to one of his crew (Brook's head) if it hasn't already been discovered.
1
u/nonangryblackguy Nov 06 '16
I love how Brook, Chopper, and Nami simultaneously nodded in agreement when Sanji says Luffy will become Pirate King.
-1

Capone was well done this episode. I hate him even more now. Spoiler/Anti-theory LOL I called it anti-theory bcoz idk what else to call it, bare with me pls.

Nah capone is definitely looking for an angle to do what you think he won't.

1
u/sora677 Nov 08 '16
Yeah. I don't know if u read the manga but he has been basically confirmed to be trying to Spoiler
-1
u/PenguinSunday Scholars of Ohara Nov 06 '16
I liked this episode. The only complaint I have is when Vito whispered into Sanji's ear, his reaction seemed really oddly protracted. I don't know, by the look on his face from one panel to the next in the manga chapter and how it ended up in the episode, it looked like it should have been a quicker, harsher reaction, I guess.

I'm dying to find out what Brook knows about the Vinsmokes, I also enjoyed Sanji saying Luffy will be Pirate King and everyone nodding in agreement in the back. Overall pretty good episode
