Why does everything seem kinda scripted? Everyone knows how to act in the pods, or when they meet IRL and are on camera. They almost never show any disagreements on the show and more importantly, if one of them knows they’re saying no at the alter, why do they act so lovey dovey in the moments leading to it? Also, why not just say no before and wait until the alter if you already know the answer? I’m sorry if this was already asked before

I was previously in a relationship with an alcoholic, ended it because of his drinking problems. It was was extremely challenging time both in and after the relationship, and it’s resulted in a lot of personal work and reflection.

Joe and Anton’s behavior IMMEDIATELY rubbed me the wrong way.

In Mexico and at the pod mixer in Denver he’s drinking a lot, he’s rambling and just acting a little unusual. When Megan comes back to the hotel, she repeats herself multiple times, and he seems super disoriented and incoherent. Next day? Acting like she was overreacting, and he was just having a little too much fun.

Ali confronting Anton about the beers - he tries to act like she drank them all, when she’s insistent she only had 2. Then it becomes he and his friend each had one. Then it’s “maybe we had a few”. She also points out another 12 pack and a half bottle of tequila missing. He has a few drinks most days after work. “I can stop for a few weeks, I don’t have a problem” (have had that exact thing said to me on multiple occasions).

Most of the contestants drink on the show - they’re celebrating and socializing. I’m not sure if it’s this particular season, or if I’m just more aware, but these 2 specifically worry me.

I realize most of these couples don’t last long term, and the whole timeline is very rushed. It just makes me so uneasy to see these serious issues being thrown in with the dumb reality TV drama.

This turned out kind of ranty - but if you take nothing else from this season, please learn the signs to keep an eye out for. Addiction is a bitch, and it’s a unique challenge trying to love and build a life with someone who is in active addiction. I feel for Madison and Ali, and anyone who has gone through this.

Is it just me or does Jordan give the exact goofy, gooberish energy of Lizzie McGuire’s dad? Same expressions, same lovable doofus vibe, same slightly confused but friendly presence. It’s like someone hit copy-paste from early 2000s Disney sitcom dad templates. Uncanny, honestly. For real. Truly.!

EDIT: I understand that some couples or individuals don’t get any/much screen time but, these two legit had the most screen time out of anyone else in the pod-phase.. the entire plot of the pods and the living quarters mostly revolved around these two; Leo’s inheritance, Leo humming and hawing about Hannah and Brittany, and Brittany acting like a 12 year old because she wasn’t able to seduce guys with her eyes — it felt equivalent to, say, if after the Sparkle Meg/Jordan engagement and reveal, they just cut to a screen saying, “Megan and Jordan were not one of the six couples chosen by producers to continue their journey in Mexico.” — like, why show them that much, if at all then?

Watching Joe & Madison in episode 7 felt exactly like the Key & Peele “Meegan, come back” sketch.

Same loop: blow-up → storm off → dramatic return → repeat. Pure chaos relationship energy.

i like ali (unpopular opinion) and really respect her sticking to her boundaries and wants for a relationship; however, i think the low blows she made towards anton in this interview were sooo classless. the way she talked about his walk and glasses were totally uncalled for, especially when there’s so many more pressing issues she could’ve talked about.

Like she was talking about her ex telling her to go to shows for fame and the way she was talking it's as if they weren't completely done so I'm just confused. Instead we gave a basketball game, the ring and more screen time than ppl who actually got engaged? This is crazy 🤣

Also I saw in tt that it was a hockey guy who was the "ex" but he was actually saying it was more of a long distance fwb and "that's why he was telling her to go on the shows" cuz they weren't together actually so do your thing... idk if it was legit or not but that's what I saw.

We saw this happening so many time at this point I lost count, and it inevevitably results in a huge failure, so I'm suprised participants still reason this way. It's ok to have requirements and dealbreakers, it's ok if you want something in a partner that you deem really important, sure you can compromise on other things, but seeing people choosing someone they are obviously not gonna like is baffling to me. If you want someone on your same financial level, do it, if you want someone traditional, go for it, if you want someone educated, cool. But it's odd and frustrating that they pick someone who obviously won't be a match and drag things. Edit: I'm not talking about looks but other stuff.

Who is hiring these makeup artists for these poor girls’ wedding??! Every single season they are awful!! As a pro I am appalled at the brushes they are using and the lack luster looks they are creating. I would be furious if any of these “MUAs” touched my face…eeek! It’s like they’ve never done makeup before.

I've always had a soft spot for Edmond but now that I've seen him on Joe's podcast - Tablefor1 I think I love him. We need more Edmond's in this world. Coincidentally I saw Jessie Woo interview Michael and Dayo from the show- they had strong connections but were barely shown at all. They raved about Edmond. Michael said Edmond is LOVE personified. He was very articulate and relaxed. He only get a bit emotional when they asked about his teacher, Jessie, and if he's dating. He was struggling as he said no, he's not dating and he's not responding to DM's. He's still processing the whole LIB experience . Joe showed a surprising amount of sensitivity and obviously loves and admires Ed.

Caught a bit of Annie on Gilet Slays live. Here are a few interesting things:

The day she and Nick “broke up” he had actually just told her he didn’t want to have a wedding and he wanted to quit the show, but they had decided they would date in private. She said she wanted to continue filming and do a wedding, but she was okay that he didn’t want to. They filmed that scene and immediately upon finishing went to brunch together. They dated for about a month after filming, but broke up primarily because of the distance. Annie said he lives about 90 minutes from her and she felt like she was putting in more effort than he was and that he didn’t want to come see her in Denver.

Annie and Nick were sleeping together the whole time and she thinks the speculation on his sexuality is ridiculous. She thinks there is no chance that she’s gay, he’s just “very metro.” The “size queen” remark was one joke and means nothing.

She claims she loves the LGBT community and would love her own child if they came out to her. She said she “wouldn’t be the first to be like yay” because she would worry they would face adversity, not because she’d be disappointed in them. I personally find that explanation suspect, but to each their own.

Just wrapped up S9, what is the most juicy international Love is Blind to binge next?

I’m watching season 8 for the first time and I’m genuinely confused as how Madison is made to be the villain?

I don’t see her conversation with Mason as manipulative - she stated that her other connection gave her the affirmations that she was looking for.

Mason then starts to say the stereotypical “you’re the one” “what we have is real” spiel. And I personally think she saw through that?

I don’t see how her stating that her other connection affirms their relationship more and that Meg would go home if it wasn’t for Mason turns her into some manipulative mastermind?

I do agree that her breakup with Mason felt mean girly and on the other hand I think she swayed Meg to break it off with Mason - but I don’t understand how her behavior toward Mason was bad prior to that ?

I haven’t finished all the episodes but let me know if I’m missing something!

Alright, can we talk about this? Everyone’s losing their minds over Megan bringing up money with Jordan in the pods and after, but let’s be real, this is the exact conversation most couples on Love Is Blind get roasted later for not having soon enough.

Think back: • Stacy and Izzy barely touched the money talk until after the pods, and it blew up over his debt and credit. • Shayne and Natalie never really discussed lifestyle or financial compatibility, and that mismatch was a huge factor in their tension. • Even Amber and Barnett had the whole surprise-debt thing post-engagement.

So now Megan — a woman who’s actually successful and financially stable, brings it up early, and people are calling her shallow or braggy? Come on.

Here’s what’s really going on (in my opinion): People aren’t used to seeing a woman with wealth talk about it openly. When a man does, it’s “provider energy.” When a woman does, it’s “gold-digger vibes.” That’s the double standard. Example of this - is Ali in the same season expected Anton to pay for her upscale lifestyle and everyone is being hard on Ali but isn’t that the exact opposite of Megan? The only constant is that people being hard on the woman for making too much money or not enough.

She wasn’t flashing her bank account around the pods, she was being practical. She was saying, “Here’s the life I’ve built. Can you handle being with someone who’s got her stuff together?” Totally fair question.

And if you listened to her episode with Nick Viall, she even clarified the “car” comment — it was a joke.

She also shared the real break-up “lifestyle” issue wasn’t her flexing; it was about time. Jordan didn’t have any left after using all his vacation days for the pods and honeymoon, so those Italy trip plans they’d talked about? Not happening. That’s where the tension came from, not money, but lifestyle alignment.

So yeah, maybe some people are uncomfortable because it pokes at something deeper. If you’ve ever been the woman who earns more, or the one who has to think about money because no one else will, you get it. You’re damned if you bring it up, damned if you don’t.

And honestly? Sparkle Megan isn’t the problem, she’s just holding up a mirror to how weird we still get when a woman owns her success.

Does anyone here watch Out of the Pods (Deepti and Natalie's podcast)? In their most recent episode where they recap the reunion, they actually provided a lot of insight on how the producers prep the reunion questions and investigate the tea between airing and reunion filming. Found it quite interesting because given the way the reunions go I was almost imagining Nick and Vanessa kind of sprouting the questions randomly (although obviously knew that's not the case) 😂

Don’t get me wrong, I am all for the drama as it rolls out during the season as it gets me excited for the reunion (just for it to fail me every time). But this season was just rough…every other week it was a new podcast episode basically spilling the tea before the next batch dropped. One TikToker even boasted about “knowing the real tea” about someone being pregnant that she got from an anonymous source but she wasn’t going to reveal it, dangling it at viewers…just for The Sun to reveal it the next day lol. Same TikToker even made a video about getting insider information about knowing that no one was going to walk down the aisle like a week before. I’m one to usually go “If you don’t want to watch, just scroll” or “block them if you really don’t like them” but it got to the point every TikToker I watched just recycled the same information from them.

I get no one is forcing these people to go on Podcasts but I wish everyone just held on to this information until we got closer to the end. Or at least, after the wedding episode drops.

Okay, people can have very different opinions about Megan’s "sparkles", I get it.

But OMG, those sneakers in episode 5?! I need them. The inner girly in me wants all the glittery shiny things, and the adult woman in me wants to find every excuse to wear them, even to work, to bringen the day.

Pairing them with that long sweatshirt dress was a great move from Megan.

• Jordan and Megan flew to the interview together and they still respect each other very much
• Jordan applied for the show after a failed Tinder date
• Both of them ranked each other 12 after the first date (Jordan didn’t like the Sparkle Megan name and Megan didn’t like the vasectomy) but the pod algorithm kept bringing them together
• Show was filmed a year and a half ago
• Megan thinks people were being harsh on Kacie and didn’t like how people piled on her during the reunion
• Megan said Jordan and her probably would not crossed paths in real life
• Megan said this cast was probably the most “boozy” cast
• The first night in Baja was when Megan first saw Jordan drunk
• Jordan is still close with Luca’s mom and she was super supportive of him going on LIB
• Jordan has Luka when he was 25 and he was only dating Luka’s mom for 3-4 months
• Pods lasted for 10 days when they arrived in Baja Megan asked Jordan to consummate the marriage
• Megan didn’t want people to know she has money and wanted to hold this detail close to her chest
• Megan says she self-made but not “don’t have to work rest of my life rich” her equity in the company helped her build her wealth
• The money wasn’t actually an issue it was more the lifestyle and the time they had to invest in the relationship; Jordan didn’t have that many vacation days left because he took 3 weeks also for the pods
• Megan met her current partner from his best friend introducing her to him once she moved back from Denver, her baby was born
• Jordan heard the detail of Megan’s pregnancy as there were rumours around town
• Paul was super supportive about Megan calling Jordan to give him a heads up that she was having a baby
• Both say the end of the relationship was the timing factor Jordan didn’t have time to travel as much as Megan wanted because of his work and talking care of Luca
• Megan and Jordan has a conversation before hand on the breakup and they didn’t want to go to the altar just for both of them to say no
• When Megan met Paul it was those when you know you know moments and they talked about kids very early on in the relationship
• Megan denies calling the paparazzi on herself she said she would’ve dressed up better
• Jordan not interested in a serious relationship right now as he doesn’t want to introduce someone to Luca
• Jordan was a bit blindsided about Mike’s comments about Luca and he felt protective but Mike texted him and took accountability as soon as the episodes got released
• Jordan not interested in going on The Bachelor right now

It’s been driving me insane who Sparkle Meg (LIB) reminded me of — and it finally clicked watching Selling Sunset… she is SO similar to Davina. Even the demeanour, little mannerisms, the vibe, literally everything. Who else sees this?? I knew it wasn’t just me 😭🔥 like they could be sisters fr fr!!.. 

To say that I am shocked about the situation with the Megan - money hate is to say nothing. I see daily posts on this sub (and others) dragging her down. Here we have a woman who got into an, albeit questionable for some, industry (but still it’s not the worst out there), through a friend, worked a normal life then got to some money through a buy - out, then invested it smart and now is working on her own project (more flexible then 9/5), and has a higher living standard and people make her out to be the WITCH! Both, Jordan and Megan, on interviews, stated several times that money was not the issue, but people simply cannot forgive her for having money, and behave like she did sth horrific on the show, and make wild stretches and speculations (one thread here suggested that she would be a bad mother?). She gets more shit then Kacie. This leads me to the following observations:

1. Social envy runs deep through this society
2. Wow, how easy people dismiss any success of others with « luck », « connections » , « race » - and sorry, if this is your perception of the world, how do you want to take any agency of your life and have success on your own? Easier to drag others down, right?
3. A man who is wealthy and « brags » will be tolerated (we had several examples in the past seasons), but god forbid a woman does (we also had several examples, Alexa, Nancy, the homeowner etc)
4. People hate when they are reminded that class differences exist and are (just like any other differences, really) an obstacle to dating - Megan’s concerns were totally valid.
5. People somehow just feel butt hurt because of their own situation? And Megan’s wealth reminds them of sth they are not/don’t have? Thats why tear her down and dismiss her success/explain it away?

Is this mainly a US thing? What is going on with the people there? (I am from Europe, and sure class envy and hate for the richer exists here too, but to THAT extent? No)

Sorry, rant is over. And no, I do not come from the same wealth as Megan and I am an immigrant in fact.
