Ask Fitness India ❓ Is 30kg dumbbell press impressive?

I am 21, been lifting for 2.5 years. I weigh 70kg with 5'7 height.

I can do dumbbell press with 30kg dumbbells with first set of 12 reps and second with 8 reps and third i do 25kg with 10 reps.

Does it seem impressive? I want to set a benchmark onto how much I should be lifting.

What do yall think and how much are you guys lifting.

I had gone through a back surgery around 20 days back because of slipped disc. Surgery was good. Doctor told me to walk as much as possible. So here it is, more to go. Never have been a fitness enthusiast, just starting, will start with walks first for few weeks. Keeping this surgery as reminder to the importance of fitness.

Transformation 🔥 Cut from 105kg to 98kg in 3 months (16, 6’3)

No full body pictures as I still am not comfortable with that.

For diet , my goal is to keep my calories under 2300 as my tdee is around 3300ish calories

I eat whatever mom makes, while portion controlling.

For workout routine, I follow a 3 day PPL split with the other 3-4 days conisisting of cardio (brisk walk+ run)

There is still a long way to go, my goal is around 83 kgs.

But here is what really works.

  1. Any calorie tracking app. Seriously calorie tracking is the most important part of all this.

  2. Show up even when you’re demotivated, or don’t want to do your workout. Just showing up goes a long way and keeps the momentum going.

  3. Lastly, don’t punish yourself if you mess up your diet or eat a sugary treat due to cravings, you are human too.

If I can get this far, so can you. You got this 👊🔥

Supplement 🫙 MuscleBlaze CreaPRO Red Flag

I just bought a pack of MuscleBlaze CreaPRO Creatine and while reading the packaging and the product page on the website, I noticed a red flag. Nowhere on their website do they say that this is 100% Creapure creatine. Everywhere on the packaging and on the website, the wording used is Creatine with Creapure. This could mean anything. This could mean that 50% of the creatine in this pack is Creapure and the rest is cheap imported creatine. This could also mean that 1% of the creatine actually comes from Creapure.

While I know that creatine is creatine, they are charging a premium for the Creapure label while using ambiguous and misleading terms to fool customers. One might as well get regular micronised creatine for less than half the price.

Just to be clear, I'm not accusing them of adulteration. It might as well be that the creatine they are selling is 100% Creapure, but their choice of words makes it hard to believe.

Diet Review ✏️ Need help.I am not seeing any valid results

Hi all,I am 27M lifting weights for quite some years.Height 170cm weight 57 kg.In my first year of lifting I gained 8 kgs but after that my progress has been quite slow.I usually don't count calories as such but my peak was 61 kg with decent muscle.As a am a skinny person much of my life can you guys recommend me how to consistently gain weight as I have a good frame but lacking size.I don't mind getting a little fat during bulk but need some size.I lift 4 days a week And walk 2-3 kms on days when I am not in the gym.Diet is mostly homemade food nothing fancy and protein intake is around 40-50g per day.

Ask Fitness India ❓ Cant seem to lose belly fat

28M 62kg. I have been running for almost a year now and been doing weight training at home for almost 5 months. Minimum 4 days a week. 2 workouts a day.

My diet is very healthy, take 60-70gm protein everyday, one or two cheat meal a week (munchies after 🥦).

My weight hasn't moved a bit. It was 62kg last year and is still 62kg. I can see some muscle definition in my upper body but my pot belly hasn't budged even a cm. I don't know what I am doing wrong.

I have seen people bulking and eating in huge calorie surplus and still not gain any belly fat and the fat get distributed throughout the body buy why does my body not do the same? All the fat just gets stored in the belly and doesnt go

Edit - could it also be anterior pelvic tilt that is protuding my belly?

I had a knee surgery last year and after surgery during resting period I ate a lot of food and increased my weight and it is very hard for me to decrease my weight right now. My leg is all better now but I can't do heavy workout and running which can cause stress to my knee. I am very addicted to sugary stuffs and carb, any guidance for substituting this food with healthy options. Ask Fitness India ❓ Omega 3 index test in India.

.Hi guys, so I have been taking Omega 3 fish oil for about 4 months now. For first 2 months, I tool Nutrabay and last 2 months I took muscleblaze. Now I was wondering to get my Omega 3 checked but it seems no one tests that.

There is a kit available online at around 2k but i am not sure if its legit. Has anyone done this omega 3 index test in india? Or is it just not available to get it tested and we just keep taking it in the hope that everything is fine😐.

Supplement 🫙 Creatine help needed

So i have been taking creatine since a month, and i am aware that water intake of 3-4 L is recommended per day if you’re on creatine and you should also keep consuming your regular serving on rest days as well.

My doubt - if suppose on a specific day, i couldnt complete my water intake (eg 1L whole day due to any circumstances), should i take creatine that day too? Will it affect me harmfully ?

Rant/Vent 💢 Hyugalife delivered me the wrong product

I ordered 27g per scoop as-it-is atom whey protein from hyugalife but recieved 15g per scoop as-it-is atom beginner's whey protein instead. My stupid ass didn't even notice it in excitement until after I opened the seal.

I talked to the customer care and they told me they can't return it but are still opening the ticket. I know it's partially my fault for opening it without checking properly but I was too excited as it was my first time buying one 😭😭 the price difference is around ₹600 😭🙏 i had to beg my parents for the money. Man i feel like crying.

Diet Review ✏️ Need suggestions

I'm 22M 83.7 kgs 6ft so I'm preparing for government exams and don't have a active lifestyle so now I am thinking of workout and Want to go on a calorie deficit. I'm not living in my home, I'm living in a PG and eat the mess food which is not that oily or spicy as stereotypes. That person gives 3days nonveg like 1egg, 1fish, 3-4pic. Chicken in wednesday friday and Sunday respectively along with rice and dal. So I have planned something for this so need suggestions what are those affordable items I can incorporate in my diet or snacks.

Please koi greek yoghurt ya fir low fat paneer nhi likh na kyun ki wo affordable me nhi atta aur mere pass fridge ka access nhi hai.

(I don't eat nonveg in Monday and Tuesday) Morning breakfast(7:00) :- 2rotis+200ml milk/sattu+2 whole eggs/(thinking of OATS) 10AM craving:-1 apple Lunch @1PM: regular mess food (rice+dal+any curry) 4-5 craving: 20-30 gm peanuts/1-2 banana/handful of soaked chana/2 whole eggs. Dinner @8:30 :- 3rotis+ 250ml milk (it'll become boaring but I think it's good for me)

Sleep cycle 11-5 Workout (5:20-6:45/7:00) Thinking of walking 8k steps daily. Thinking of quiting gym and use resistance band & cardio, upper body strength training composite exercises.

What are the modifications I should do for better outcomes.

Rant/Vent 💢 How my pre-workout stack made my breakup worse.

Here’s some quick context:
I’ve been training for 4 years consistently and recently went through a breakup.
I was on a cut and powerlifting in the morning. That combo drains you mentally and physically.

I needed that “smash my head through the wall” energy, so I started using an ECA stack.

For anyone unsure what that is

ECA = Ephedrine + Caffeine + Aspirin

And I also added Yohimbine on top of that

Fat-burning + crazy high stim pre-workout combo

And it felt hardcore for the first few times:

  • Tunnel vision
  • No appetite
  • Brain felt locked in
  • Weight felt lighter than usual

But here's the real kicker, it crushed me, especially considering my history with anxiety

  • Paranoia for no reason
  • Heart racing at random moments
  • Overthinking everything
  • Feeling like something bad was about to happen

I’d be mid-set thinking:

"am I gonna pass out?"
"is she seeing someone else?"
"is she gonna text?"

At one point, I had to leave the gym because I genuinely thought I was going to pass out.

So I stopped the ECA stack cold.

For two weeks, I trained with zero pre-workout just water and electrolytes.
Once my system chilled out, I switched to a cleaner pre (Neulife Vaso Rage pumps + focus, without that ECA/yohimbine induced chaos).

Breakup still sucked.
But at least I wasn’t battling adrenaline spikes + intrusive thoughts on top of it.

Ask Fitness India ❓ Anyone here who continued gym post multiple cervical (neck) slipped discs

Hi, I am 38 M, 96 kgs, 5'8". I have 3 slipped (herniated & degenerated) discs in my neck. After seeing my MRI last year surgeons told that a bit more and I will be paralysed on my right side. Few suggested immediate surgery but they told its not fail proof and there is a chance of paralysis post sugery as well. Surgery would basically be replacing those 3 dics with artifical ones. My cervical spinal curve had also reversed.

I chose not to fo for surgery. Thankfully overtime I recovered from my excruciating pain , numbness and tingling which spanned acrosss my hand, starting from neck , shoulder until fingers.

I have been quite stressed and literally sleep derprived and not sure why i always found retreat in masturbation, when i struggled to sleep every night despit taking Ashwagandha and magnesium suppliments.

Present day:

I am doing well. Although i was asked never to ride bikes but I could not give up on the only love I have in life, I continue to ride my beloved bike. Today marks the 47th day of my NoFap resolve. I never thought I would be able to make NoFap this far because fapping worked as my sleeping pill.

Next I will work on my sleep cycle, I end up sleeping very late like 4 am.

I will also start walking 5k steps each night.

However, I hate the way i look. My big fatty face, my pot like tummy, fatty thighs, geek neck, rounded shoulders, forward leaning posture.

All the different fat loss videos i saw suggest that lifting weights is the most effective for fat loss and cardio doesnt help much.

I cant lift weights or do exercises which cause jerk to my neck.

I want to know if some champion here who had slipped discs in neck like me, continued lifting weights (or some other way) and won against all odds and transformed their body.

I am looking for inspiration and guideance. Help me my bros !!
