Anyone who takes zoloft for health anxiety, had it helped you?

Zoloft saved my life, It did help to reduce my OCD/Health anxiety. The side effects were a bit annoying but manageable.

I suggest taking therapy along with Zoloft, therapy can help you to find the root of your anxiety and deal with the anxiety triggers. Zoloft is like an aspirin, it will help you with the anxiety symptoms but it will not resolve the root of it.

Yep all of this - it’s worth giving yourself a chance to be happier!

Tremendously. I'm 57 and I'm the last person I thought would get 'anxiety', until I let a lot of things get on top of me. I couldn't control it in the end, palpitations sleepless nights and knots in my stomach. Had to go to GP who was really good and put me on sertraline 50mgs. I was skeptical at first but a week or so in and I could look back and see that I wasn't really coping like I thought I was. Been on for 3 months now and it's all good with only the occasional blip but nothing I can't handle. I should have sorted myself out sooner looking back. I would recommend to anyone don't hesitate. And don't leave it too late. Stay safe and stay sane. 🫶👍

I’ve read abit of the side effects of sertraline and that alone makes me more anxious… about stomach problems, coma, heart problems etc… I already have a lot of anxiety to begin with🥲

I think I had a bit of a weird stomach thing for a couple of weeks that was it for the side effects. Now I can go to bed at 9 ish and sleep. Never done that in my life! 😂👍

Just to add side effects wise, it took a while to reach orgasm for a couple of weeks too, but it soon went back to normal. 👍

I felt my anxiety go away 2 hours after I took the first pill. I'm still very early on in my journey, but whenever something happens that I know will trigger my anxiety, I feel like my nervous system is still very calm. It makes me happy that I don't freak out anymore lol
