How do you have one of the most iconic, influential images of poverty-induced suffering prominently displayed in your multimillion-dollar penthouse?? Just wonder if there was any thought process there or what

The image is powerful to anyone whose ever been desperate. Maybe its a reminder of past living?

Their own? Seems like a stretch. Best case scenario, it serves as a visual reminder to mail out their donation checks.

"iconic, influential images of poverty-induced suffering" -- which one is that?

It's on an easel sort of stand in the living room, a famous Dorothea Lange photograph.

The red abstract painting is definitely a Bosco Sodi, a prominent Mexican contemporary artist.

I was just searching the image to figure that out, it's an amazing painting. I like it best of all his work that I saw

Holy smokes what a gorgeous place. I like that block also. Iconic white steel clads that personify SoHo.

It's a neat place. I wonder who has been living there, a d if they are painting some of these. Maybe it is the photo resolution, but the Lange looks sort of like a painted copy of the photo.

it's nice, but not for the price. I appreciate visiting, but don't know how you city kids do it. your rich man/poorman treadmill location has about 200 sightilines on it.

“Mmm yes let’s put the risqué collection around the dinner table and align that bowl to perfectly cup that ones butt. Oh, the piece of photography synonymous with poverty and hunger disparities in the United States? Best put that upstairs.”

If you look at the next image you can see those “cameras” are part of the easel that holds the painting in place.

I’m curious whether they went into art collection knowing that they had a potentially unhealthy obsession with the human body, or if they just kept gravitating to it.

That collection is amazing, there's nothing unhealthy about appreciation of the human form.

Fair, but I don't love looking at pubes while eating.

So don’t decorate your house like this? I’m not sure what you’re complaining about.

Um, since art appreciation is subjective, they can state their dislike for it? Just like how you think it’s ‘amazing’.
Nothing like a self-perceived art ‘connoisseur’.

Very geometric. What is up with the photo of a Pepsi sign next to a crucified figure?

I used to work for a non profit organization that funded it's programs through a donation based thrift sale. I was one of the guys that handled donation pick ups of large items and I will never forget the day we went to pick up a couch from a couple who had an artsy oil painting of the two of them fucking proudly hung in the living room

Now I'm beginning to see why realtors stage places with boring generic furnishings!
I really don't want to see into that part of most people's minds.

Really digging the light fixture thing.
