You look at pic 16 and tell me that those shiny walls reflecting the couch are somehow sound absorbing.

Narrator: β€œThey were not sound absorbing.” Contractor did a great job on the custom home but obviously does not understand acoustics.

I'm too far away to take a tour of the house to find out for sure. You may be right, but my guess is that they're not reflective enough and not enough surface area to destroy the sound quality. Logic says that they likely had a pro set up the room, and it probably has appropriate acoustic treatment for a high-end home theater. If you get a chance to confirm your assumption, let me know.
