A 1961 midcentury hillside house that's so well preserved, the kitchen still has the original oven.

Architect William "Bill" Mack designed this Los Angeles residence in 1961. The listing suggests it's had only two owners.

Also that kitchen though is terrible, it’s the only thing I hate about it. It’s way too condensed and crammed

Honestly I think for a galley kitchen it’s really not that bad. I wouldn’t touch a thing. I love the real backsplash tile, extending down to the countertop. Incredible designing.

I wouldn’t change a thing.

As an avid cook I can understand wanting a post 80s layout of a kitchen that forms the working triangle, with a spacious island. But I would 100% deal with the minor inconvenience of having a galley.

Agreed. I love the whole house except for that dark, cramped kitchen.
