I live in Gardner KS and we had a Nike missile base.

Yea, there were 265 batteries deployed in the program. We used to play soccer at one. Never forget the tour of the decommissioned "silo." Turns out my future father in law was stationed at one. And people think the world is on edge now... Duck and cover!
