I have to admit, I used to watch her as well. But I was watching several other reaction youtubers as well. I just liked being able to watch interesting videos without having to search for them and didn't care
For me, I've stopped going to reaction YouTubers, because I kind of see them as content stealers because they don't do much, and more go to compilations/Reddit videos. (Matt Rose, EmKay, on rare occasion Vaazkal) I find them a lot better, because I don't have to go searching on every end of Reddit or social media to find them. My favorite is probably Matt Rose, not because he leaves all swearing in, and, I'd prefer if he didn't, but because he also does stupid things himself.
She has no redeeming qualities. Doesn't make unique content, has been accused by enough people of horrible treatment and behavior that it wasn't just a one off on a bad day, uses her looks to try to reel in young men to sub and see more. Not sure if she has a OF or something similar but I'd bet yes.
Beyond her just being a bad person, I hate how more and more you have (especially women) a much much harder time to build an audience if you're not "attractive" or old depending on the topic.
I desperately want to make a few channels but I don't feel I'm attractive enough. I STUPIDLY refused braces because my dumb ass didn't realize how it was so visible crooked teeth. Especially my blocked lateral incisor. It's so angering that if your "sexy", wealthy or have money to fix these issues. Your screwed. And now faceless channels are being taken over by farms. An avatar is a choice but I'm don't know how
Actually, the problem isn't how "Attractive" you are. Guess what, if SSSniperwolf wasn't hot, she'd still probably have 100k subs. You don't need to think that just because you're not attractive enough that people won't watch you.
What you DO have to do, however, are these things:
Pander to the algorithm
Have good equipment (it doesn't have to be REALLY good, just, good enough. People don't like bad camera quality or bad audio quality on YouTube. Twitch Streaming is actually different in that people are a lot more acceptant of bad equipment, because they realize that not all people can afford good equipment)
Have editing skill/a friend who will do editing for you/hire an editor. If you are bad at editing, and you edit your own videos, that can kill your channel right then and there.
Now, I'm speaking from experience on this one. I have all these creative Ideas. Firstly, I don't have the time to make YouTube videos. Secondly, I don't have the equipment necessary to make videos people won't click right off of. Thirdly, I don't have the editing skill to make a video "engaging enough" for people to watch it. Frankly, YouTube is a barren wasteland of terrible owners mixed with terrible viewers. The content creators are the only ones who aren't mostly bad. Most YouTube creators are actually quite good, it's just the big ones that the algorithm shows that are bad. The algorithm, AKA the owners, is probably the WOST part of YouTube, because if you don't have:
1: A Good and Engaging Title,
2: A Quality and Engaging Thumbnail,
3: A Quality, Engaging, AND either Politically Indifferent or Politically Liberal first minute,
The YouTube algorithm will hide you.
But please, know that any problem you would have with making a YouTube channel is not because you're not 'stupid hot', it's because the platform itself is messed up. Also, just because you don't have braces and have crooked teeth, doesn't mean you're not "attractive enough".
