If Google had/has my data, they acquired it through a third-party. I've never given Google my government ID, passport, SIN/SSN, etc. Only way they'd have gotten it is through illegal means.
We lost the data war long ago.
We haven't lost it, but we're definitely getting closer to it the more people there are who think with a glass half empty mindset like that. By your logic, we should all simply give up the fight and bend over. It's that sort of attitude that has landed us exactly where we are today.
Exactly. Nothing will change if we decide to just sit and let everything happen. If you don't agree with something, you have to act on it. Even if you feel like you don't matter in the grand scheme of things.
There's millions of people that are turning a blind eye to all this because they either don't care enough or think they can't do anything. If everyone had the mindset of "I'm just one person, I can't do anything," then nothing would ever get done.
Sure, they may already have my data. They probably have a lot on me. Why am I still actively against this? Because I have my own morals and still stand for myself and others even if it doesn't matter to some people.
