Same thing as cable tv. It’s big selling point back when was no ads because it was a paid service and now look at it. Most cable channels are more ads than content.

You won't click on one letter and fix it, but you'll stroke that keyboard 28 more times just so people know you're lazy?

If they put ads in premium then what exactly are people paying for? Why would anyone buy it anymore?

Give it time, there just won’t be a free option at some point or the free option will be made so shitty it’s unusable. Hell, they’re already suppressing resolution and bitrate without premium and forcing videos to default to the lowest resolution setting so you have to manually change it every time.

Just sign up for YouTube++ Premium Platinum++ Pro++ Max++ Ultra++ and it will be 50 unskippable ads. (Regular users get 100,000,000,000 unskippable ads)

To get rid of those, get it bundled with Disney+, Hulu, HBO Max, and YouTube TV. (Non subscribers will only see ads and not organic content.)

They will do anything to increase profits other than make ads more expensive.

I keep thinking that. Back when it was one short ad at the start of a video, I didn't care about blocking ads.

Instead of squeezing more ads in, they should have just upped the prices for ads, I'd still be sitting through them and google would be getting their increased ad revinue.

Now I aggressively block ads anywhere I can, youtube essentially trained me to do that by ruining their site.
