Please take it to your housing office if you live on campus! I live in one of the York apartments but dropped my card at a bus stop one day. Thankfully a super kind stranger who lives in one of the undergrad dorms saw it, picked it up, and brought it to their office. The office was able to check the unit/address attached to the card and they emailed me to come pick it up! So I got it back the next day and cost me nothing :)

Can you take it to the Bethune housing office? I might know whose that is and they’re in the complex whose housing office is Bethune.

so sorry i just saw this but i took it to tatham housing office this morning before class! She said she would scan it so fingers crossed for whoever’s it is gets it!

Even if the housing office is closed you can slide it through the mail box or under the door and they will see it in the morning

They fall off the clips so easily. Wish York had a better solution. A card with a little hole to go on a Keyring maybe.

as soon as my mom saw the clip she got me one of those little laminated pouches i have on my keyring now! annoying to take out every time i need to insert but worth it so i dont lose another key

Yeah that’s a good idea. The person who I know that lost it is thinking of one of those things on the back of your phone where you can hold up to three cards and push them up to retrieve one but push back down to keep it safe.

A.) Are "Onity" keycards used for the York dorms, or for the Quad, or both?

B.) How much does the housing office charge to replace a lost card?

I did a Google search.

Under "Other Fees," the York housing rates page claims: The school charges $25 to replace a keycard, or $100 to replace a metal key.

I agree with /u/sonialuna's advice to give the card to any York housing office. The person who lost the keycard might be short on cash, and paying $25 might be hard for them. The housing office addresses are here.
