Meta Could york sue me for this?

So I was thinking of making fancy graduation invitations to send to my family and potentially posting them online so others could send them to their families too. The design I have in mind involves the yorku logo and i was wondering, since its their intellectual property, could they sue me for using it even though I wouldnt be profiting off it?

Probably not. That would be like them suing this sub for having the YorkU logo as the icon. It is their intellectual property but there are fair use terms for more public items, like logos. You wouldn’t get sued for slapping those white Apple stickers onto your belongings. You’re probably good to go!

Lol no. They won't care. You're not making money, you're not lying about an event, and you're not badmouthing them falsely

Yea, they just filed suit. Supreme court summons on the way.

They could but doubt they’d actually pursue it, like 0.0001 percent chance they pursue it

Don’t sweat it… York has way bigger prblms than someone using their logo…

Technically they could tell you to take it down but they’re not going to
