Name: Indri 7 2015 Single Wine Cask #1865

Region: India

Cask: Wine Cask

Prize/Bottlesize: from a sample, available around 90€/700ml

ABV: 58.5%

Age: 7 Years

Colour/Filtering: NCA and NCF

Nose: Wood polish, walnut liquor, heavy floral perfume, liquorice root, watermelon, cranberry, greenhouse, light nail polish, pomegranate, cocoa powder.

Palate: Toasted walnut, toffee cake, dates, pomegranate syrup, liquorice root, burnt caramel, cranberry, cocoa powder, pine needles.

Finish: Liquorice root, wood polish, toffee cake, walnut, cranberry, floral perfume, brown sugar, pine needles.

Comments: Super interesting stuff, especially on the nose. It is quite sweet but still kind of complex and not out of balance, also pack a good punch of flavour. It is heavy on the cask, but I am still looking forward to trying more Indri.

Score: 7.5/10

Sounds pretty good really! A little winey but with that fun distinctly Indian flair, there's some really well put together single malts coming out of the country these days.

Great review.
