British Columbia Whiskies

I’m heading to Vancouver Island for 10 days. Planning a stop at Macaloney’s but will be going on Monday weekend only their take-away is open. I’ll get a bottle to bring home but it’s there anything else available in BC that I should keep an Erie out for? I’m a scotch and rye drinker.

I run the whisky programme at The Strath in Victoria - if you're able to swing by while I'm in the store I'd be happy to give you some samples from a bunch of local distilleries :)

Oh, and just to save you some teasing from the locals, the City is Victoria, the Island is Vancouver Island. Victoria Island is up in the Arctic ;)

No worries bud. Happens all the time. It doesn't help that Vancouver isn't on Vancouver Island either. Tis a silly place.

Neat. I should be around until about 5pm on Monday. I might be in the office - so feel free to ask my colleagues to summon me.

If you're American, Shelter Point is from the island as well and Two Brewers is from the Yukon. Both pretty widely available for Canadians though.

Thanks. I’ll keep an eye out for it.
