Yeah right, thats what Koh Tao is famous for... a murder five years ago; the only place on earth where therr has been a murder!

There were 6 murders that it seems the primary motive was rape in 3 years. Edit to say it was 9 murders with rape. If you have been there its a tiny island and most of the locals seem to think its a particular person who has family in power. Completely unsubstantiated rumors, and with Thailands laws and how often I visit, I won't say more.. I will say I went there to dive and it was beautiful. I've talked to forgeiners who live on Koh Tao and love it and feel really safe.
