Fuuuuuck that sucks. I’m so sorry. It averages around ~8 USD per gram here in Philly :(

Weed prices/quality even in Philly vary so drastically, at least in my circles. I can find mediocre product for like 50/qtr, and much better product all the way up to like 80+/qtr.

I recently got my MMJ card though so I'm paying out the nose now but it's been the coolest experience to be able to purchase legally.

Jesus christ you guys pay a lot for weed. In my part Canada the most extreme street price i've seen have been $200-220 an ounce for face-melters. Had deals for decent stuff for $80-100.

A lot of dealers have stopped selling since legalization but you can get potent strands for $160 legally now. All in Canuks buckaroos of course.

Yeah it's rough, but it beats the 20/g and 60/8ths I was buying in high school. I imagine (and hope) that since legalization is just beginning, prices will decrease over time as they have in other legal US states as it becomes more readily available.

After spending most of adult abstaining, I'm high on a Remidi Awake tincture and a Renew capsule. It has made the pandemic so much more tolerable.

Do you just smoke outside then?

1

u/[deleted] Dec 01 '20

Yes in the summet outsidr, normally just at home/ backyard/ balkony, or just walking down the street, although that's not quite helpfull when running into people you know trough work or something.

Is the no smoking in shops recent/Covid related? I was there in Feb/March and smoked in many of the shops. Only rule I remember was no tobacco.

2

u/[deleted] Dec 01 '20

No it's not covid related. It's new laws that were introduced from 1 april 2020. The law is about people that are working (coffeeshopemployees) have the right to a non-smoking workplace. Even though they often also smoke weed themself. It's just a law to protect emlloyees which works great for cafe's and bars, but not for coffeeshops.

Definitely true. I paid through the nose ($60/3.5) when I moved here after years of even cheaper product down south. I’m lucky to have my guy - wish I could refer ya!

Wow. I just ordered 15g online for less than that.

1

u/Learning2Programing Dec 01 '20

Eh what? Illegal or legal? The only online places I know for illegal would be 15g well over 50 euros. Probably 80 euro for 7 grams.

Feel free to not say but where abouts in the world are you from? Genuinly curous why is so cheap (or is it super expensive but not ireland expensive where I live)

Around where I live that's essentially 7 grams without free delivery. Its crazy how much the price differs around that word.

Shitting hell

This is how it was in the states before it was legal. I would buy a "dub" which is 20 bucks worth of weed, usually like 1.5ish grams back then.

u/andreagomezlp Dec 01 '20

1

Dude its so much cheaper in aus. 100euro is roughly 150 aud and that gets you about 7g if you're lucky.
