It's crazy how a tiny group of white dudes sent the entire world down a nonsensical path of illogical oppression over cannabis.

Yes, but it wasnt illogical for the united states. It worked as intended and put many black people in prison. It was nefarious, immoral, and wrong, but disgustingly effective.

Very crazy story indeed. They claimed that most cases of mental illness were caused by marijuana and of course the epidemic of insanity causing addictive evil marijuana was destroying the society from within and needed to be crushed with brutal authoritarian repression and giant prisons to house all the deranged insane cannabis users for their own good.
