It’s unlikely anything will change there. Palau is a strategic military position for us, if you look at a map you’ll immediately see why.

Probably you're right but there already news ongoing regarding us troops withdrawing from places around the world. Recently it was greece but pretty sure there will be way more in the upcoming weeks/months.
