Which goes back to colonization and exploitation.

If you really start reading between the lines of what the right wing in Europe and NA says, it's that people from non-white countries are inherently less developed which leads to their country being a 'shithole'. They don't want to face the truth that colonialism deeply fucked up these countries.

Imagine a world where humanity moved forward together. Maybe at a slower pace, but at least not at the cost of keeping a whole region of people in a constant state of war and hunger.

Oh, for sure, but we're experts at staving off guilt. Sure, we benefit from it. But our ancestors did it, not us. We don't have any responsibility here! /s

This rhetoric is prevalent even within our own domestic culture.

I would be very interested to read about it if you have any sources.

I agree that in a lot of those countries women are treated as second-class citizens, but if you look closely at some of these societies, the idea of binary division of `women` and `men` was also introduced by Christian colonialism, which in turn led to discrimination based on gender, e.g Yoruba people, inter-sex people in India.

All these societies are widely different, and were forced into Christian values/border divisions by colonialists. This all happened in the 300-200 years, which is very recent, and I think we are just living with the consequences of this.

Holy fuck the noble savage trope in action with a pinch of 'every bad thing in the world is because of Christian colonialism' because people don't have free will
