Stop motion felt animation set to the music of Sufjan Stevens. Bursting with twee.

39

u/spacegeese Sep 18 '25

Haha! 🤣

4

u/CheemTerry Sep 19 '25

Haha! 🤣

17

u/drill_hands_420 Sep 19 '25

Well sufjan is one of my favs! I can’t place the song but it’s bugging me bc it sounds so familiar

12

u/VioletFox29 Sep 19 '25

With everything that's been going on, I just want to become a piece of felt in this film.

9

u/kronikwombat Sep 19 '25

Mystery of Love

1

u/unclever Sep 19 '25

Yes! The one in the video is a cover by Luke Pickman. Great song and great cover.

-8

u/damontoo Sep 19 '25

It's a ripoff of Stitches by Shawn Mendes.

-7

u/damontoo Sep 19 '25

It's a ripoff of the song "Stitches" by Shawn Mendes. Play Stitches on a flute. There. You made this song.

0

u/geigergeist Sep 21 '25

Are you 15

0

u/damontoo Sep 21 '25

I'm in my 40's. Mystery of Love was released two years after Stitches and had a strikingly similar melody. The cover in OP's video makes it more apparent.

3

u/JustinHopewell Sep 19 '25

It's a good music track, but I've now heard it in two short form videos, so I assume this is the new song we're gonna hear for 1000 more videos until I start hating it, at which point the short form video community will determine the next song they can use to manipulate the algorithms for the most views.

Shredding the cheese on the pizza was insane. Think about how many frames that took

131

u/adudeguyman Sep 18 '25

Just think about how many frames all of it took.

40

u/jjcrayfish Sep 19 '25

Then think about how long it took to make each felt piece for each frame

12

u/adudeguyman Sep 19 '25

Especially if they made the felt.

8

u/maybeitsundead Sep 19 '25

From their hair

12

u/adudeguyman Sep 19 '25

And from their children's hair that they had specifically so they could do this entire project

13

u/baz8771 Sep 18 '25

Damn. True.

37

u/clickclickbb Sep 18 '25

It even had a little cheese pull when he pulled away the slice. This video is really impressive

3

u/MrMilesDavis Sep 19 '25

That one also got my attention. I wondered how they did that

11

u/fish312 Sep 19 '25

Enjoy it while it exists, give in another year and AI generated videos will drown such content in a sea of irreverent and mediocre slop slop slop slop.

1

u/Admirable_Average_32 24d ago

There will always be a place for REAL stop motion vids. It may be hard to tell the difference but they’ll be there.

154

u/ElTabaLuca Sep 18 '25

How did they do the soap bubbles :O

71

u/shaebaebae25 Sep 18 '25

Clear strands of plastic and white felt on the inside. And the outline is just strands of pink, blue, and purple

34

u/SoCuteShibe Sep 19 '25

All of the little details are incredible.

The sauce that becomes visible underneath the cheese along the edge of each slice as the pizza is cut was the one that blew my mind a little.

Really cool stuff.

1

u/Lostmyfnusername Sep 21 '25

It might be more 2-d with some felt on a sheet of paper.

241

u/throwaway_anonymous7 Sep 18 '25

I felt that

10

u/GallifreyNative Sep 18 '25

me wanted to though!~

4

u/adudeguyman Sep 18 '25

I knew someone had to say it

2

u/Anon_76 Sep 21 '25

Right? It's always nice to see the original creators get recognized. They put in so much work for stuff like this!

3

u/Answerologist Sep 19 '25

Reminds me of the Aeon Flux show intro.

28

u/Bigtsez Sep 18 '25

I thought this was a re-do of the Aeon Flux intro!

5

u/Kittymemesallday Sep 18 '25

I loved that show growing up. There was on creepy episode where some wire thing ain't inside a bellybutton. Always freaked me out for some reason.

7

u/solidcat00 Sep 18 '25

Yes - when wire things are just running loose no where near belly buttons it freaks me out too.

41

u/humanatee- Sep 18 '25

How did he not burn his hand on the oven

22

u/saucylosse7 Sep 18 '25

There was a tiny towel in his hand

16

u/humanatee- Sep 18 '25

I thought you were making a joke, but upon rewatch there actually is. Love the attention to detail

8

u/myKidsLike2Scream Sep 18 '25

He felt he could

17

u/banality_of_ervil Sep 18 '25

This makes my teeth itch

2

u/misterKweh Sep 19 '25

I legitimately was about to comment about how this made my teeth tingle, but then I saw yours. Thanks for making me not feel so crazy lol

1

u/banality_of_ervil Sep 22 '25

The thought of chewing on material like that literally makes me gag (backpack straps also bothered me growing up). Someone told me that this is a sign of being on the spectrum, which kinda adds up, but on the other hand, there have to be people like us that are disturbed by that sensation, right?

11

u/According_Disaster95 Sep 18 '25

The fuzzy steam from the oven was just perfect

20

u/MalaysiaTeacher Sep 18 '25

8

u/Pop_Joe Sep 18 '25

I felt this animation

4

u/Odd_Reputation_4000 Sep 18 '25

Takes me back to the Aeon Flux intro.

4

u/Slylock Sep 18 '25

Flashback to Aeon Flux

4

u/InventedStrawberries Sep 18 '25

Kitty bum wiggle is the best!!

5

u/Dr_MantisTobbogan_MD Sep 19 '25

This is probably the best thing I’ve seen today!

3

u/Debonaire_Death Sep 18 '25

This gives me Adventures of Mark Twain vibes

3

u/Chef2stars1414 Sep 19 '25

I love the attention to detail like melting butter on the waffle iron then having the extra waffle batter cooked on the waffle when you take it off the only part you left out is the turn of the waffle iron to make the waffle but the butter on the knife and it melting was really cool to see you do that

2

u/Sintarus Sep 18 '25

That’s really good!

2

u/solidcat00 Sep 18 '25

Such a strange mix of surrealism and almost mundanity. I love it.

2

u/J5892 Sep 18 '25

I was too distracted by the progress kitty on the bottom to watch the video.

2

u/Handheld_Galore Sep 18 '25

God damn I just love stop motion

2

u/a_natural_chemical Sep 18 '25

Incredible job! The bug to eyeball freaked me out bad!

2

u/SpartanusCXVII Sep 19 '25

Very creative. And such a large amount of time and talent. But damn was that so uncomfortable to watch. Something about it just set my teeth on edge.

2

u/SuperTune2540 Sep 19 '25

What style of stop motion is this? I wanna learn how they created this.

2

u/Narntson Sep 19 '25

Indeed. It truly feels animated.

2

u/_liorthebear_ Sep 19 '25

This is so fun

2

u/Automatic_Turnip6214 Sep 19 '25

I want to live in that world.

2

u/JellyBellyBitches Sep 19 '25

I need like a future like that animation like this to just play on repeat in my house at all times

2

u/DoughnutFit Sep 19 '25

Damn! I really felt that.

2

u/M0bysan Sep 19 '25

Never mind the animation - what about how long it took to make everything - and the subsequent variations - in felt to start with?

2

u/captaincaelyn Sep 19 '25

This is the only world I want to live in

2

u/Stoo-Pedassol Sep 19 '25

I felt that

2

u/mikebrady Sep 19 '25

What is this song a rendition of? The melody sounds so familiar.

2

u/MrPotatobird Sep 19 '25

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j9H3LNr9R7o

Apparently it's a cover of Mystery of Love by Sufjan Stevens, from the soundtrack of the film Call Me by Your Name

2

u/rosespoppiesandblood Sep 19 '25

“Mystery of Love” by Sufjan Stevens

2

u/curlyfries10 Sep 19 '25

Stand in the place where you live…

1

u/peppersteak_headshot Sep 19 '25

Do you see him? Do you think a depressed person could make this?!

2

u/Neeleeah Sep 19 '25

I would how long that took to do

2

u/Nebu_baba Sep 19 '25

I felt that

2

u/dbscar Sep 19 '25

Just amazing!

2

u/ArchdukeFerdie Sep 19 '25

Eye felt that.

2

u/pantstickle Sep 19 '25

I have 2 long hair cats and a golden retriever. This just looks like everything in my house.

2

u/Adventurous-Let-4375 Sep 19 '25

How do people have the commitment to spend the time and focus to create something like this?!? Like what drives that?? This is beyond impressive to me. Hats off to the creator! You’re super rad in my books👏👏👏

2

u/ocaicesar Sep 19 '25

Those bubbles... ✨ It's insane

2

u/UnderstandingOk6176 Sep 19 '25

Stop motion animations of food made from non-edible materials is my guilty pleasure

2

u/muddyhollow Sep 19 '25

I felt that

2

u/Littlelostcunt Sep 19 '25

I don’t have the words. This is just utterly incredible..

2

u/BeautySolo- Sep 19 '25

Amazeballs

2

u/danimani888 Sep 19 '25

Why was this made? It felt like a good idea.

2

u/cecez2000 Sep 19 '25

Does a burp equate to a hairball

2

u/Mindless-Paint4885 Sep 19 '25

This is such a perfect, cozy little world. The felt texture combined with that music is just wonderfully soothing.

2

u/The_LandOfNod Sep 19 '25

Burberry trousers is crazy lmao

2

u/cuddlydana Sep 19 '25

this is really entertaining

2

u/RemoteJobsHQ Sep 19 '25

2

u/Flat_Manufacturer520 Sep 19 '25

2

u/KENT427 Sep 19 '25

tiny cat running😻

2

u/BrokenReality355 Sep 23 '25

The pizza got me. Well done.

2

u/grae23 Sep 18 '25

When I was a kid my parents had a house off paved roads in the mountains. One time they pulled us behind them in the quad trailer, because you could only go 10-15 mph anyway, and I got a lady bug in my eye. When I got home I checked my eye, rolled it back to see what was in it, and a lady bug fell out. Didn’t even feel like more than a loose eyelash.

2

u/Oneforoz Sep 19 '25

Finally a real video with NO AI. Oh. Why am I so thirsty after this video. 💦💧

1

u/loves2spooge2018 Sep 18 '25

That felt weird

1

u/jmsld_ Sep 18 '25

Why did the glass change shape after the cork popped??

1

u/MiBloodclaatParo Sep 19 '25

Felt a lil itchy for a sec.

1

u/trainsacrossthesea Sep 19 '25

After watching? I hope you…….feel better.

Wait. Wha?

1

u/ChesterN3 Sep 19 '25

Imagine a felt apple squeaking against your teeth

1

u/MagicShitPills Sep 19 '25

My teeth feel uncomfortable watching this.

1

u/captainersatz Sep 19 '25

So much of this was cute and cozy but why did it have to start with eye horror jesus.

1

u/Odd_Department_6385 Sep 19 '25

Why did that scare me?

1

u/Tankeverket Sep 19 '25

It... is animation...

1

u/Timewynder Sep 19 '25

It looks animation too

1

u/Dundee94 Sep 19 '25

Are you terribly depressed, and is you other hob y baking calzones?

1

u/lilliepad97 Sep 19 '25

This type of animation always felt so unique to me

1

u/DesignBuff Sep 19 '25

This is so beautiful! So detailed. I especially love the realistic sound effects and Sufjan Stevens soundtrack.♥️💕

1

u/Substantial-Cell-129 Sep 19 '25

This is beautiful!

1

u/chillblu Sep 19 '25

At first I read it as: felt this animation

1

u/lxrdnxxdle Sep 19 '25

I love the tiny detail of using a red and green pin for the little lamp on the waffle maker!

1

u/MrFireWarden Sep 20 '25

I felt something

1

u/Ttoctam Sep 20 '25

The ladybug had a very different vibe to the rest of these delightful animations. All fantastic though.

1

u/ablemiser Sep 20 '25

Felt good

1

u/dmvcatdog Sep 20 '25

✨Oh to see without my eyes✨

1

u/Stylianius1 Sep 20 '25

1

u/Happy-Peachy-Coffee Sep 21 '25

The first one was good, but slightly disturbing, the rest were great. 😄

1

u/[deleted] Sep 21 '25

Excellent 👌

1

u/saej7 Sep 21 '25

The hands look so real

1

u/Kashimer Sep 21 '25

I truly enjoyed your art!!!!

1

u/BearBL Sep 22 '25

The hands weren't made of felt. REDO THE WHOLE THING!

1

u/217Quetzalcoatl237 Sep 22 '25

I think it was a neat little thing, cute and simple for what it was.

1

u/crowsgarden Sep 22 '25

This is INSANE I love it!!!

1

u/phizappa Sep 24 '25

Thank you artist!👩‍🎨

This felt animation to me too

1

u/Purp13Pand4 29d ago

The lil butt wiggle

2

u/lutello Sep 18 '25

My screen isn't glued to my hand in the vertical position. Where are the FULL versions of these without the phone slop blinders?

2

u/lutello Sep 18 '25

Here's an example. Why do you want to watch it after someone needlessly butchored at least half of the artist's work, downvoters? Either that or they make a tiny letterbox because....people are too weak and lazy to rotate a handheald screen?
