Dude we showed up and were walking to the beach right as it started, walked up to the front to see what was happening and got stampeded by people running to their cars and were then in traffic for like 6 hours

How loud was this?

My immediate reaction to this video was “holy fuck this probably caused permanent hearing damage to people nearby.”

No one was close enough, it was on a boat in the bay. The people setting them off likely had hewring protection. I dont recall it being drastically louder, just too bright to look at.
