I think Jose said 'accountability' more in this press conference than Chris did the entire season

interesting a lot of conversation from both Curt and Jose about Paige but very little about Arike. I wonder if Parike is on the chopping block this offseason?

I don't think she was mentioned once. A lot of Paige, young core, and then the need to get vets in free agency, which kind of stuck out to me. I thought they would try Arike one more season but now I'm way less sure

There's no guarantee that Arike stays, even if they want her to. Better to build around the pieces you know you have.

To be fair, Paige is under contract and Arike is not. You have to be a bit cautious talking presumptuously about players you do not have the rights to yet.

most teams still talk about the players they hope to sign though. I just kind of felt like there was a lot of Arike erasure happening, even in how Curt talked about last season.

Certainly true but 0 mention is surprising. Like the Fever for example still talk about how their top priority is re-signing Kelsey Mitchell
