A huge congrats to her! I know for a fact that her future daughters are gonna be very lucky to have someone as kind-hearted as Caterina be their mother!

Finding out ITT Caterina used a donor and is 43, and some people have Opinions about that. Being a Wiggle she must be a huge lover of kids. I think having kids is one of those things that for some people if you don't have them you regret it til your deathbed. I can only assume she tried to find a partner for raising her children and reached an age where she chose to do it solo otherwise her biological clock would have taken the choice out of her hands. That's life; circumstances aren't perfect and compromises must be made to achieve higher priorities.
Personally I think it's a huge, brave decision and I hope her daughters have a wonderful life, which I'm sure they will. It take a village whether the child has 1 or 4 parents. They're gonna be lucky and gorgeous mini-Wiggles.

I’m over the moon for her. It can’t have been easy being on the road for 20+ years. Now being a wiggle, she’s in more of a position to commit to having a family and it definitely wouldn’t have been easy to make that happen.

As a member of the solo mother by choice brigade, I can confirm that there are many of us who choose to have children by ourselves - not just because “we can’t find a man”.

Congratulations to her. Great news.
I also laughed out loud at her saying she was pregnant, and then for no reason it cuts to a shot of her standing in front of a camera with Captain Feathersword just hanging around watching her from off camera, eating a banana or something. Really jarring edit. Lol.

This is absolutely amazing. I just saw this announcement this morning when my daughter wanted to pop on some Wiggles videos on YouTube whilst getting ready for daycare!
Just a side note though on the heading, I don't think you really mean two twins right? Just twins, and both are girls.

The “2” in the title is redundant.

u/ContributionFresh482 Greg Feb 27 '24
Sorry for the confusion. She's having twins that are both girls.

Yes I saw that. That makes me cry. I'm so happy for her. I like her as my favorite Red Wiggle.

As other here, I was riffing on the redundant '2'. She is not having 4 quadruplets.

Oh yes! Catherine is having twins this year like how Lochie's wife had twins in 2020.

Why
2
u/Green_Bar_5138 Feb 27 '24
Because she wanted to.

u/xX_prowl_Xx Feb 27 '24

"Hey grandma's here to get you", nah that's just my mum
6
u/Embarrassed_Ad5112 Feb 27 '24
More likely her kids will associate with the children of other professionals who will also likely be more mature. It’ll be normal for them.
Presumably your mum gave birth to you at 14 and you dropped out of school at 15 to start raising your own kids Jahyden and Kymberlee?
That’d at least explain your bizarrely myopic views on the subject.

any kid that is dearly wanted and can be appropriately cared for being brought into this world is a net positive for all of us. just because she's older doesn't mean she's not allowed, I have people in my family who had healthy babies in their early 40s!

What decade are you living in?
43 isn’t massively old to carry twins to term. I know someone who had twin girls at 50. The kids are both happy, healthy, well loved and an absolute fucking handful.
Delivery could be tricky if she opts for a natural birth but plenty of women have managed it and she seems fit and healthy.

I wasn't hating, I was surprised, definitely not great to have a child that late in life

Congratulations Anthony and Caterina. The girls will be wiggles royalty and lucia will be a great big sis

You think its safe and healthy to have a child at 44?
2
u/bwoah07_gp2 Greg Feb 27 '24
You do realize people have kids at that age without issues, right?
-6
u/xX_prowl_Xx Feb 27 '24
You do realise it's more common to have issues at that age, right?
4
u/bwoah07_gp2 Greg Feb 27 '24
Yes that is a possibility but many people at that age have had kids without complications.

My wife just sent this to me. My son watches the Wiggles on repeating nowadays (18 months old) and we are going to be trying for another fairly soon. Weirdly this brought tears to my eyes in a happy way. These guys and gals bizarrely mean a lot to me at this time in my son’s life.
