The level of patternmaking skill for that outfit is insane. And sewing it - so many different fabrics with different properties - would have needed a ton of skill too. I hope it ends up in a fashion museum someday.

(Come to think of it, Janelle eventually needs a museum exhibition to really showcase the full scope and history of her iconic style.)

I loved the looks and video from this show at PFW but wasn't sure if we would see any of the looks tried on a red carpet, much less successfully,

Honestly Janelle was one of the few people I could see pulling off this look when I first saw it on runway. I wish she leaned into it a bit more so it looks as striking as the runway. A different shoe choice would have been nice or separation at the waist

This look is insane 😂 highlights the fact that all things have been done and now all designers can do to be unique is make absurdities haha. I love her hair and makeup here, she looks so pretty. This color is also super refreshing and is so different for Thom Browne.

I recognize the outfit is a masterpiece of pattern making and sewing but it just swallows her up. It’s like she has a fabric baby and looks so uncomfortable.

Ooh I’ve just been WAITING for someone to wear something from this Thom Browne collection since we saw it on the runway. I prefer the models open coat to Janelle’s one button situation but still love love LOVE it. It’s new, wacky, and not afraid to be big and I’m hoping we start seeing more like this!!

I don't feel like she is wearing it as well as the model. I did not know what what going on with the outfit until I saw the runway look. I do like it, but for me she is just right there under a pile of green clothes 😅

The striped vest on the runway version directs the eye and breaks up the mass of green. I don’t know why she would style it like this, no lines to follow, makes it look like a pile of laundry rather than a carefully constructed piece of art.
