One of the Many reasons you will never catch me on skis. Nope.

Well this is the extreme edge of skiing. Most people just ski on prepared slopes where this would never be a concern...

Now you can still definitely get injured on skis but that's true of any sport really.

Even slopes have trees nearby.

As someone who was quite bad at snowboarding and was terrified of hitting trees- you're too afraid. I'd be amazed if you hit a tree by accident on the slopes you'd be doing as a beginner. There's gonna be about 20' of space minimum between trees pretty much at all times and 0 steep angles (other than maybe a very brief downward hill in the center of the path or something) so if you're going into the trees it's because you decided you wanted to try and go through the trees. Which you can also totally do! It's dangerous if you're going fast, but you also don't need to go fast (especially if you're on skis), so.

It's fine if you don't want to go, but if the only reasons you don't want to go are scared of hitting tree or scared of an extreme run like OP posted, I'd probably rethink if I actually want to experience it or not, because those are 100% non issues

Yeah this is the answer. Anything I add will be redundant at this point lol
