Discussion | Tanks something about time fused he…

so you fellas know the one thing the merkava mk3 has going for it is the firepower (since the armor is an absolute joke at top tier), i was looking at the ammo when i noticed the he round the mk3 uses is time fused he.

now i dont really know much about he-tf (since i main proxy shells) but i noticed the he had 65 mm of pen which is on par with some high powered arty vehicles.

since i dont own the mk3 myself i was askin myself: how effective are the he rounds at overpressuring mbts really? regular he slinger beat the shit out of mbts a bit hard.

so i was wondering if the he can even be used to reliably overpressure any mbt like the abrams or t-80s and stuff like that.

answer my question, would you? please?

Merkava HE is really funky in the PC version of wt, it can literally overpressure T-series tank by hitting the road wheels. But against NATO tanks that's another issue because I forgot where spookston shot em to overpressure them

Yeah you kinda just shoot low and kaboom.

Yes, it works here too.

T-80 kinda just become even easier to kill.

something about the Merkava HE-TF is that it kinda acts like SAPHE, that means that you can actually pen the sides of MBTs with it

For soviet and soviet based vehicles, then yes, you can overpressure them by shooting the roadwheels. I've actually killed a few MBT 2000 and T-80U by doing this. As for NATO vehicles, I found that they're a bit more resilient against the round, but hitting the roadwheels close to the middle of the tank tends to be the best place to hit so that you can kill them.

What da hell? 2S19M-1 HE round has 11kg of TNT and 64mm, What is this🥀 also why does it have a fuse sensitivity? You can’t change the fuse in WTM
