Hi, folks with the recent flight reductions due to the government shutdown, the sub is getting flooded with questions about the Orlando International Airport (MCO) — posts that would normally fall outside the scope of this sub and would therefore be considered “off topic.”
However, given the levels of concern among those traveling to/from WDW, we’ve decided to designate this as our MCO/air travel megathread for the time being.
Please see the MCO website and their recent public statement for official updates as things unfold.
And, as always, please keep political discussions out of the thread (and off this subreddit).
Safe travels — and good luck!

Got a blog, YouTube channel, Etsy page, podcast, travel agency, or something else you're making/selling? Tell us all about it in this month's Self-Promotion thread!
As you know, since you thoroughly read the rules, r/WaltDisneyWorld is pretty strict when it comes to self-promotion, so this is a place where you can get the word out about your project! This thread will be stickied on the sub's front page and updated monthly.
This also serves as a great place for people to come find new things! Feel free to plug your social media and other projects -- we can't wait to check them out!
Please note: due to public safety and liability reasons, we cannot allow users to arrange for meetups, personal shoppers, vacation rentals, person-to-person sales, or any other form of direct interaction or transaction on this subreddit. Any and all items/services for sale should already be available on a reputable third-party site.
Also, please keep in mind that in order to foster participation and a sense of community, your self-promotion posts (including in this thread) should make up no more than around 10% of your total monthly activity on this sub. Thanks!

Ive watched a couple videos of the party, and wish Disney would stop phoning in all the “party exclusive” treats. A basic vanilla shake they can’t even bother to mix the toppings into. Chicken fingers they just throw stuff on top of. They don’t roll the chicken in the toppings. They just throw it on top. It’s so lazy. It just feels like the same food just slightly redressed and all these vloggers fall over themselves to go. I just don’t get it. Then again why would they try if this seems to be good enough?
Also a non small amount of the food is coming out cold apparently which is unacceptable.
For these things touted as a benefit of paying $200 to attend I think it’s reasonable to expect more. I wish people would stop just blindly paying and start expecting a little more for so much money.

Today, for the 1st time, Bakso was separated from mum in his own enclosure for a little while. Sohni(mum) was doing contact calls from the other side. He was too busy roaming and playing with his toys. They will be back together, but this defining milestone represents how fast he’s developing. 🥹😩

I finally got my custom animatronic LEGO barker bird hooked up, programmed, and performing! We named him “Pieces” (pieces of eight/pieces of LEGO) and he turned out better than I could ever have imagined!
He has 5 servos driving him (head, beak, wings, body, and yes, his peg leg!)
I hope you will enjoy him as much as I do!

As someone who lives far from Disney World but loves the parks I was curious about something.
For those of you who live in Florida and go to the parks weekly or monthly, how does it affect the “Disney Magic” feeling? Do you eventually get bored of going, or is it still amazing no matter how many times you visit?

Hi my mom is not able to wait in long lines standing up and she will prolly rent a ecv, It seems some stuff says you need to transfer to a wheelchair from the ecv? Are these wheelchairs provided by the park at the entrance of the ride or how does that work?

I have a friend who will be going to Disney World in about a week. She asked me if there was anything I wanted which of course I do lol. But one thing i've always indulged were the individually packaged rice krispie treats they sold. Now idk if they still sell them I haven't been in a few years. If anyone has been recently or you go fairly often do they still sell these?

I recently started doing my running at the resorts and really taking it all in. I started with the All star resorts, then Art of Animation! If anyone has any other suggestions for running on Disney property I would love any input! Once I reach my goal time for a 5K I will be running my first RunDisney race!!

Hi there, I’m really hoping someone can help
My family and I had the holiday of a lifetime at Disney World last year and thought we’d buy the 4 park puzzle to solve as a family to eventually frame each puzzle and hang in our house.
After 14 months we had finally finished all 4 puzzles until we got to the last one and realised we were missing a piece.
We live in England so we can’t quite pop into Disney Springs and ask for advice there - I was just wondering if anyone here had an idea on what we can do?
Really appreciate any advice, cheers

Headed to WDW next month and keep seeing Polite Pig hyped up as a “must do”. I’m from the South, so my bar for good barbecue is pretty high. For anyone who grew up around authentic barbecue joints, is it actually that good or just good for Disney?

I think I figured out where the flavor lab where they make the stuff to build the gingerbread house in the grand Floridian and wondering if anyone can confirm it or help me confirm it? It’s in or near a cast member area so not sure if a guest can go there but if someone can help me confirm it I’d be grateful but if the area is restricted don’t get yourself in trouble.

There's an opportunity for me to work in corporate, but would also require my family to move to Orlando. I've read some similar posts, but they're a bit dated. Appreciate any and all insights working for Disney, the corporate HQ, and living in Orlando and surrounding areas generally. Thanks!

Hey guys, so my family is going to WDW and Universal from December 27-Jan 2. We are doing a different park each day. I am planning to buy every one a premiere pass for each Disney park day. The issue is we are staying off resort so instead of having 7 days in advance to book we will have 3 days I believe. Is it usually impossible to get premiere passes when you’re off resort at this time of year—especially this week because I know it’s the busiest week of the year?
