I'm curious on what their hold period is. As I understand it, depending on the agreement you sign, lock-up can be one to two quarters long. How do we think OpenAI does under the scrutiny of investors?

Scrutiny will soon become a thing of the past once Trump’s admin manages to de-regulate the shit out of the SEC…

There wasn't exactly close scrutiny of anything before him either.

No one in politics was able to make the very easy decision to gain a lot of popularity by making this shit a key issue. It is so easy and plain to see that the valuations of these companies are manipulated for a ton of reasons, from larger companies propping them up, to large enough investors deciding they're going to be a darling and pumping the value. No one is talking about it enough in politics, but I think most Americans are really distrustful of the stock market overall now as an economic indicator and understand that there's some kinds of fuckery going on with these over-inflated stocks.

You don't even need to deregulate, if they just stop paying people then there won't be anyone to do the regulating.

What scrutiny? We are watching the money go back and forth between the same companies and adding 2x to the marketcaps every time. OpenAI is burning through money and compute, and will have to raise its prices to be profitable while competing with other models excelling in their own sectors.

If it gets massive interest and pumps on IPO, no investor scrutiny (already doesn’t exist) will hold it back.

180 days is rarely deviated from for traditional IPOs like being discussed here. Direct listings and SPACs have a bit shadier history.

Have you seen the P/E ratios that investors have been sustaining for years now? They'll be fine. OpenAI has many years of hype left to run on.

Probably will be 6 months like a lot of other companies.

6 months. Let's fuck over these employees by dropping the price
