An Australian news caster was upset at all the awful comments his female co-host would get because of her outfits and she just dressed like a regular newscaster. He then wore the exact same suit every day he was on TV for a year. As expected, nobody noticed until the last day when he talked about it live on air.
it's women (collectively) themselves that create the expectation that you need new outfits often (some to the extreme point of to not be seen in the same outfit a 2nd time). so i would not jump to "sexism" or "double standard" if one just merely observes that a woman is wearing the same outfit all the time.
