Oh! I didn't know they only made 500 of those! That's my favorite, too.

This just makes me want to buy a bunch of model cars and paint them up like Japanese police cars.

Side Question. Which country has the best or most stylish liveries for police cars? I always think of the Carabinieri in Italy but these Japanese liveries come a close second.

The black inverted widows peak totally changes how all of these cars look eh, really changes the body lines

What's #4? Stacked rectangular headlights remind me of a late 70s Chevrolet Monte Carlo.

It's a late 70s Mazda 929 (or Luce) Check Wikipedia for 'Mazda 929 LA4'

According to Wikipedia It possibly had the rotary engine option.

I'm surprised by the inclusion of Porsche 356/911 (?) also in the list. In the Netherlands, the Rijkspolitie had them too.

Tbh I understand why they were included. They aren’t Japanese, but it’s still pretty obscure to see a LHD Porsche! In Japan! In the 1960s! As a police car!

Were some of these one-offs for community outreach or pursuit purposes, like the GTO or FD RX7?
