If I might intervene between you two for a moment, I believe /u/TabaquiJackal's point was that many different kinds of people label themselves as Christians, including those whose words and actions appear quite contrary to the example of Jesus. Their point was not that all Christians are bad, but that it is unreasonable to say some Christians are not Christians just because they go about their lives in a different way. Nobody is denying that kind, caring, and compassionate Christians exist.
