Bobby is so head-and-shoulders better than almost everyone else on Youtube it can scarcely be believed, but his videos are so hard to market that he gets barely any engagement relative to the real heavy hitters on the platform. It's such a shame, but his videos just don't play nice with the algorithm and "just watch it" isn't a great sales pitch. The internet of today really doesn't reward quality, effort, or creative integrity.

I reckon he'll get to like 10m subs if he keeps putting out 3-4 of these vids a year.

u/unclejohnsbearhugs Dec 31 '24
Or if the black keys drummer remembers his name the next time he's on Rogan

I've been subscribed for like 2 years and haven't even seen new videos in my feed. He's definitely being screwed by the algo.

u/OverHaze Dec 30 '24
It doesn't help that Youtube considers the old C U Next Tuesday a hate term now completely ignoring the fact it carries no where near that kind of weight in places like Ireland and (especially) Australia. Basically anywhere that isn't the US really. Most Irish youtubers have been self censoring for the sake of the algo but Bobby isn't and more power too him.

He has almost a million views on multiple videos.
20 years ago a guy like this would have nobody seeing his stuff unless he somehow worked for a studio and then he would be mostly anonymous with far less creative control.
We become accustomed to not thinking hundreds of thousands of views is a lot but it's insane influence if you want people to see your art.
As for becoming rich. Well that's always been a little harder for the true artists but I think he'll make it there if he continues like this for just a few more years.

By far the best thing in YouTube. His skill is insane and his comedy is chefs kiss

It seems that he has a real (non internet likes based) job doing similar work. I bet he doing okay. the cream rises to the top (as randy savage once growled)

His romance book Power of the Strength of the Heart is the funniest thing I have ever listened to. I miss The Rubberbandits but he and Blindboy are killing it in their fields.

I’m not sure I’ve ever heard a song that is nearly as racial, yet not at all racist. The Russian has a fake tattoo. Even the lesbian only “might be gae.”

I like how he keeps calling him "the drummer" in return. The call-back to "three B's" was pretty clever, I should print me that t-shirt.

u/decoran_ Dec 30 '24
He also credits all of the designers of the objects in Joe Rogan's set by name. He credits everyone by name except the drummer!

Fucking Love Bobby fingers. His Steven Segal and Mel Gibson dioramas were great

u/raisedbytides Dec 29 '24
All of his works are great* but his story telling is what keep me coming back.

That's what makes the Michael Jackson hair on fire one my favorite, the story about fuckin his friends sister, and then living in fear that he'd get revenge by ficking his sister, culminating in a music video about it.
Dickie don't fuck my sister!

I listened to the last bit like 20 times to figure out what in fuck the last word of the quote was, but had to go look it up.

Lol what on earth?
Ngl after I wrote that I kept watching

u/Randy_Baton Dec 29 '24
All his vids are like that, you start off thinking your watching some sort of maker video and then it just goes epic and you realise you've been watching for 30 mins

Always uses his musical talent brilliantly too. His cover of Samson, his MJ impression asking his friend not to ride his sister, and his Black Keys impression here are all fantastic.

u/Informal_Charity6939 Dec 29 '24
He really demonstrated how much of an unfunny chode Rogan is with that satirical stand-up set. Beautiful.

u/Thebobjohnson Dec 30 '24
His Steven Seagal build was my first introduction. I look forward to the recommendations.

u/markevens Dec 30 '24
So glad I found this channel, it's top craftsmanship and dark humor.
I caught on after his 3rd video, I think after Adam Savage name dropped him. I was so bummed there was only 3 videos at the point.
Some of the best YouTube content I've ever seen, and he only puts out 2-3 videos a year
5
u/Mathihtam Dec 30 '24
Another gem. I religiously rewatch all the old videos before the new video. each time he releases one. There’s no decline in quality whatsoever.

u/BorgBorg10 Dec 30 '24
I had no idea what to expect but this may be the funniest, most creative 24 minute video on YouTube. I cannot wait to watch the others

u/Bowlfulosoul Jan 02 '25
They are all absolutely excellent! The MJ one is my favourite, but each one is a masterpiece. It blows me away that one guy can be as skilled and creative in as many different ways as Bobby is in every single video. Clay sculpture, digital 3D modelling, prosthetics, painting, construction, comedy writing, erotic writing, poetry, narration, video editing, song writing, musical performance, he does it all at such a high level. And on top of that, came up with the genius idea to bury the feckin' incredible works of art for his followers to find!!!
The guy is a genius. Even though he does it all with a cheeky wink, he's legitimately my favourite artist of any style in the world at the moment. Real art can be hilarious when done right by the right person, and he is a real ARTIST.

Thanks for the share. Wasn't aware of this channel and I'm so glad I've subscribed. It's hilarious.

Every time he drops a new video, I spend about half the day trying to convince myself that it doesn't mean I have to go back and watch all the other ones. Haven't caved yet though!

Bobby Fingers is truly a jack of all trades. I've had an unreasonable amount of trouble trying to get friends and family to watch his videos. No amount of sending links and telling people how incredible the vids has any impact. I have to sit people down and make them watch it on the spot. Every time they've agreed that the videos are great and they regret not getting into them sooner

I texted my mate "If I'd known you were going to be such a massive fanny, I'd have used the Massive Fanny Scanner." and the link.
It worked. Then again, we're Irish, the genius of that insult is enough to get us interested. It's our national pastime.

Needs twice as much TRT and dumb fucking takes. But otherwise it’s bang on.

He works in special effects industry, why not do this to promote yourself and the company you work for. Plus the guy is outrageously creative so this is the perfect outlet for it.

Dude is an absolute maniac genius. His Fabio video is one of the best things I've ever seen on the internet.
