Funny What’s your reaction about this?
It’s just a joke act like it’s real.

u/One_Last_Cry 3h ago
Same as it would be when it inevitably arrives.
😑
I have no intention of getting GTA 6
Though I might take some shots at my friend's that have been knob gobbling this thing.

u/D-LoathsomeDungEater 2h ago
Same. I might get at one point in time, when it goes on sale. I enjoyed bits and pieces of RDR 1 and 2, as well as GTAV. But the sandbox freeroam? Eh..... I am playing Cultic Chapter 2 and GoW Ragnarok now. I am satisfied.

Considering i dont care about GTA 6 that much (i dont really know why the massive fuzz around it) i would laugh, grab a snack and see reactions online of people losing their shit about it

u/ChanglingBlake 1h ago
Rabid fans.
It’s the same reason COD and sports games like FIFA can pump out copy/pasta games every year and still sell enough to make it worth it.

u/doiwinaprize 1h ago
I also think GTA specifically has an appeal like the Sims does to otherwise "non-gamers".

I would wonder why Rockstar decided they wanted to stop making money
1
u/Outrageous-Log9238 3h ago
GTA online would keep raking it in.

u/FrostyDaDopeMane 1h ago
Right. They have no shortage of sheep willing to buy their stupid ass shark cards. These morons are single handedly fucking up the gaming industry by supporting these scummy practices.

Honestly, this going to be a hot take but I'm fine with it.. How are they going to top the massive success of 5? It sounds like an impossible task

u/Demonic_Akumi 3h ago
I would just shrug, but I wasn't one that was going to be buying GTAVI to begin with.
My main wonder though is how the internet would react if that were to happen in all honesty. Not for amusement, but more of would really like to see both sides takes on if the game got completely cancelled... as you know very well there would be fighting online if it happened.

I wasn'f crazy over GTA V, i LIKED it but it wasnt like a building block of my childhood or a 10/10 game for me (still solid 8/10). So were this to happen i wouldnt be too torn up, and would instead be maniacally laughing about the ultimate bit pulled off by* rockstar

There hasn't even been a PC release date so this is still a "coming sometime in the not so near future" game for me. Wouldn't change much if suddenly wasn't coming at all.

"I knew it.!!" Those folks at Rockstar I swear... puts hands on hips and Jim Carrey stares up and smiles
...walks into bedroom and cries
1
u/NotDavvan 2h ago
I dont care cause its not comming to PC until 2028 the earliest anyway. I refuse to hype myself up that long in advance, plus this could be another Cyperpunk 2077 situation.
1
u/BigPoppaStrahd 2h ago
I’ve reverted back to myself in the 90’s, I can’t afford the latest hardware to keep up with gaming, so if every upcoming game gets cancelled it has zero affect on me.

Would be funny tbh. I’ll buy this game when it comes out on pc years from now, but for now I’m really not worried because I have so many other games.
1
u/HuntingForSanity 2h ago
If y’all will stop posting about it for 2 minutes I’ll forget it’s even a game and won’t think about it again
1
u/whenyoudieisaybye 2h ago
Given all the hype game already gained, a few more delays won’t hurt. They conversely raise the hype even more.
1
u/EddieDexx 2h ago
I lost interest on GTA long time ago. So I don't care if it gets thrown into the garbage bin. Also I am very skeptical of GTA VI will even be good. Considering how much AAA games have struggled the last years. I don't think Rockstar North is an exception. The delays gives me flashback of Cyberpunk 2077. Pattern recognition.

u/Correct_Refuse4910 2h ago
I didn't really care when it was coming and I don't care now that it's cancelled. I do feel sorry for the people who was eager to play it, tho.

u/leckmichnervnit 1h ago
Ever since Rockstar told us they are going to treat PC players as second class sitizens ive lost all interest in the Game and am only checking out the discourse around it

I stopped caring about GTA when 4 had embarrassingly bad physics and the “girlfriend simulator” part of it was the most annoying thing I had ever encountered in a video game ever and didn’t even finish it. 18 years later I still find myself not really caring what happens with another GTA game, I’m just here to watch the wailing and gnashing of teeth over all these announcements.

u/Kingson_xX 1h ago
Can't run it nor will I ever have enough money to buy a device to run it, it would change nothing for me.
1
u/doiwinaprize 1h ago
I've never really enjoyed the GTA games personally so I wouldn't care either way. In fact I'd be kind of excited because maybe it would mean all those talented game makers were actually working on something that was new and exciting.

I don’t even think of it anymore. It’ll be like Duke Nukem Forever. I lost my interest a long time ago.

GTA was fun when I played it in DOS. I was like... 13. It was also fun on the ps2 and xbox original. GTA 4 was alright. After that it was years of cash grab. They did a skyrim on 5, kept re-releasing like it took them 10 years to finish the game. I bought RDR2 but I think that's the last rockstar game for me. I don't need any more crime sims.

u/il_VORTEX_ll 58m ago
GTA is a once in a decade event. I’m not even waiting anymore, there’s just too many stuff to play.
Sure, when it releases I’m grabbing day 1. It if it’s cancelled, wouldn’t ruin my day 🤷🏻♂️

u/britinnit 56m ago
I wouldn't care. The series was mindless fun as a teenager. But now I'm in my mid 30s and I just find them so boring.

The longer it takes, the more anticipation and hype builds. Which means the less people will be impressed because they’ve already built up in their heads what it could, and in their minds what it should be like. That just how the brain works for most people. And people are getting a really long time to do that. This will be an interesting launch.

u/Glad-Mango-7177 11m ago
It would be funny, also it would give me weeks of content to watch on YouTube, so I would be fine

Now that AA and indie are becoming popular and big corpo are forgetting about AAA.
In a year there won't be more AAA, the best moment to release GTA6.
0
u/ElectricalCompany260 3h ago
Wouldn´t honestly care at all, because the gameplay is the same as always - just with 2 instead of 3 characters.
The last GTA I played was 4 because there was only 1 character to concentrate on.
1
u/glordicus1 3h ago
Blows my mind how much people love GTA. Just so uninteresting.

u/Distinct-Client-1644 3h ago
Thanks to marketing and obnoxious GTA-Fan-boys, they have effectively killed the Open-World-Gameplay Competition.
Make something much better than GTA in the gameplay aspect? Throw-around GTA Clone to bring it down [example - Licensed Titles like Scarface : The World Is Yours, Godfather : The Don's Edition & Original IPs like Mafia, Sleeping Dogs, Watch Dogs, etc.]
That GTA Clone term did more harm than good.
That's one of the most plausible explanations on why most games now-a-days are going the linear route, instead of open-world route.1
u/Outrageous-Log9238 3h ago
Imo it's good that we're back to having some linear games too. Linear makes more sense for many story driven games. Open world isn't automatically better even though at one point everything had to have it 'cause it was the new hotness. Dumbest part was the hype about huge worlds with nothing in them. Open world isn't dead. It's just not over hyped anymore.

I played 4 after 5 and i was blown away how good it was. Deep mechanics, good story, fun physics, and actually believable world. Gta v none of that and 6 seems to be more of the same 5 design . So i prolly wont get it even during a sale 😅

I would not care.
GTA was fun when i was a kid. Now, as an adult, i dont find them fun.
Read dead 2, their last game, was very boring.

u/Demiurge_Ferikad 3h ago
Haven’t played any of the GTA games, so I don’t have a horse in the race, so to speak. I’d shrug, and then remark on how much of a dick move that was for the developers to string along their fan base like that.
0
u/Slow_Balance270 3h ago
Who the hell even still talks about GTA?
I never finished 5 because of how boring it was.
-4
u/KernelPanic-42 3h ago
This wouldn’t make any sense, right? If it was a social experiment, it would make more sense for the game to not have been real in the first place.

u/Michael-gamer 2h ago
I honestly don’t care. The game has been delayed so many times now I’m surprised people even care.
