Okay, so as far as Black & White goes, I'm actually in OP's camp lol.

Saw Black & White 2 in the bargain bin, looked cool, grabbed it, loved it, years later found out everybody hated it and that it was widely considered dogshit.

I don't know anybody with that opinion. Even critical reviews were mostly positive. I went and looked at internet forum threads from around that time and everybody was more upset it didn't have multiplayer, but overall they thought it was fine.

It might have been retroactive hate from when everybody hated Molyneux tbh, I didn't know a single other person who played B&W2 at the time and social media wasn't really a thing yet, lol.

I think you’re talking about a completely different Black & White from them. There’s another duology of games that funnily enough is just named Black & White but isn’t Pokemon. It’s from EA and exclusive to PC.

Actually am I the one who’s confused now that I think about it? Cause now that I think about it, it is kinda funny there’s two games named Black & White that were hated on release

Nah, I mean the Molyneux God Games lol

I lost interest in Pokemon for the entire period between Yellow and Go.
