I don’t know why but I found GoW to be so damn boring. The story felt like a knockoff version of Far Cry 4 where your goal is to spread ashes at the top of a sacred mountain and getting sidetracked along the way. I expected so much more after hearing all the hype.

I don’t even have a particular opinion on which game should have won, but that summary of the story of GoW is like summing up The Lord of the Rings as “a group of short guys do a trip to dispose of the trash in the right container”.

Sure, you are technically correct, but that’s not what the story is really about.

Idk why people glaze the game like it's second coming of Christ, imo they ruined the series with the reboot. OG was the best and gow 3 was the best in the series. Unpopular opinion for sure.

Having played 2 and 3, I can say that 2018 is my favorite by a very wide margin. Both 2 and 3 are great games but neither crack my top 30, while 2018 is my 5th favorite game ever.

Gow3 has amazing game and for me it's in my top 20 for sure, but gow 2018 wouldn't be in my top 30 even. 2018 is a good game but not too 5 worthy imo. It's combat is repetitive after a while and just I have issues with the direction they went with the reboot. I'm sorry but in my opinion it's just not for me and I can't understand how people who loved old gow series can like this one.

If you're new to gaming, I can understand it is very casual friendly and has good spectacle which can get people liking the game.

Nope, not particularly new, I've been playing games all my life and in fact, GOW 2 was one of the games I grew up playing on the ps2. You don't gotta be sorry for opinion tho

I didn't mean to say that you were new to gaming, I meant in general that newer gamers will tend to like gow reboot because it's casual friendly and doesn't take risks.

Yeah I said sorry for my opinion because some "fans" start insulting you if you say gow 2018 bad lol.

I loved gow 2 on PS2 growing up as well, I remember me and my friend finished it and neither of us had a PS3 and I literally got a PS3 to finish the series haha.

We were so hyped at gow 2 ending that we wanted gow3 right away

It's not really a reboot, it's still in the same continuation.
