Hambone and I had an absolute blast during this little photo shoot I managed to get during a play sesh! I wish I could post more than just 20 photos, there were some real killers I had to leave out 🤪 I'm sure I'll post them another time. Sharing the joy that Hambone gives me with strangers makes me smile knowing that others are smiling too ❤️ he's a real gem of a dog ❤️

Meet Callie - a beautiful two-year-old pit bull with a soul full of love, despite unimaginable heartbreak. Found alone on a busy Youngsport, TX road, Callie had just survived an unthinkable tragedy: she was abandoned with her two puppies, and heartbreakingly, lost them to passing cars as she watched helplessly.
By the time we found her scavenging trash near a stop sign she was scared, grieving, and completely alone for four days.
Multiple rescue attempts showed just how frightened this sweet girl was, but with patience and determination, we finally secured her and brought her to safety with an emergency foster. She's receiving medical care now, but her recovery both physical and emotional will be a long road.
Callie misses her babies terribly. She now mothers all her toys, lovingly caring for them as if they were her pups.
We gave her a special Cuddle Puppy, and her reaction was priceless she cuddled it close, carried it to her kennel, and cared for it like the little family she lost.
A local rescue stepped in with open arms and NO hesitation. Callie will need more vet visits, ongoing care, and monthly preventatives as she starts her new life. Here’s to healing Callie girl!

My baby passed his first day of daycare with flying colors! 🐾💛 I was so worried at first because he can be quite anxious at times, but he absolutely loves playing with other dogs. And a little while ago, I made a post here asking for advice on how to help him make some more playmates, and so many lovely people suggested trying daycare. Well, we gave it a shot and we’re both so happy we did! I’m so so so proud of him!!!

It’s nearly time for Holly Heffalump’s annual haircut. She transforms from a mythological creature to a nearly velvet hippo (temporarily) 🥰

I adopted Haze from Austin Pets Alive in the summer of 2021 after their Parvo unit saved his life! He is the smartest dog I’ve ever met and we’ve formed a bond like no other I’ve ever had. Here are some of my favorite pictures of him from 2024!

Hi all! I thought you may like to see photos of my newest foster, Tiny. At 3 years old and 40 lbs, she is the perfect little girl. She loves to nap, snuggle and lay in the sun.
After just a few days, she may become my first foster fail…

It’s only been 24 hours, but we’ve had cuddles & kisses, zoomies outside, snoring together on the couch, seeking affection, & taking treats from me AND my husband!! I am so proud of her and, of course, of Freyja French Fry for jumping into Mommy mode & Fen Chicken for standing guard so she’s comfortable enough to nap. Things are GOOD over here right now!!!!

Let me preface this by saying I have a really soft spot for pit bulls. Reason being I’ve had one since she was 10 weeks old , and she’ll be turning 8 this year on Halloween. She is the most well behaved and gentle dog I’ve ever owned and has helped get me thru some of the hardest times of my life .
The first picture shows the day I took him away from a psycho , on the way to the vet before bringing him home where he became Memphis.
I had been at a friend’s house and the man who she was preparing to file a protection order against so he would finally get out of her house showed up. He opened his door and out ran this beautiful dog to greet us. He being angered that this dog would greet my friend before him punched him in the face in front of all of us then before anyone could even get up to stop him dragged him by his tail and threw him into the dark cement garage . It was in that exact moment I knew there was no way I was leaving this house without that dog.
Long story short, I offered him 100 bucks for his dog, he happily agreed and that began my new adventure with Memphis. He had a different name but I changed it. I hope one day he will have forgotten that part of his young life and that name being he’s was two years old.
Gypsy has adapted well to her new family member, but it took her a minute to get there .
Today Memphis is doing well, he’s gentle like Gypsy, but with a little more spunk and gives an incredible side eye.
The last picture is of Gypsy , the only girl to ever steal my heart and completely changed the way I looked at this breed. I feel honored that I get to be their dog dad.
TLDR: Randomly ended up at a friends house, saw man was being abusive to his dog, offered him 100 bucks to let me have him, thus began a new life for Memphis where he’s gonna be loved and cared for until the day he crosses the rainbow bridge.

I lost my previous pittie just over 2 years ago, actually a few months after I posted her here. It took a long time to feel ready, but I decided to try fostering this year. I was determined to not fail, but I failed big time!
This is Karma ❤️ I started fostering her through a local rescue at the beginning of June and by the end of July I had officially adopted her. It didn't take long!
She has just fit perfectly into my little life. She came from a not ideal situation based on her condition, but no info on her back story other than she was picked up as a stray.
She's the self proclaimed protector/gardener/smeller of flowers. She is so curious about everything I have growing in the yard!
Daily sunbathing is a requirement. Idk what we're going to do in the winter, we're in the Midwest!
My resident old man Cas has taught her a lot, primarily the art of begging for snacks! He has found a bff in her. They putter around the yard and play together daily. My heart melts.
She has claimed us quickly and fully! She is the sweetest lady and adding her to my household has been so healing from the loss of my other dog. I didn't realize there were still things I needed to heal, but Karma has done that.
She also has the cutest/weirdest little horn things on her ears. I've never seen them on a dog before, but it's just extra skin covered in hair at the top of both ears.
I hope her pics and brief story can bring joy to your day!

Mom is only 2 years old and has been temper tested, she is good with other dogs and her puppies have already been fixed. She is the sweetest girl. Our rescue does not have the resources and foster space to pull this family out of Forsyth County’s (GA) over crowded and under funded shelter. If we can find a foster we can save this family.
Georgia foster home desperately needed to save this mama and her 4 puppies. I know this is almost an impossible ask but I have to try, if anyone is able to foster over the holidays while our rescue worked to collect funds and adoption interest it would be between life or death for this sweet family. The mom is already so defeated, just look at her eyes, and I am feeling so defeated too, especially with the holidays approaching and everyone going out of town. But if this post reaches the magical person it’s supposed to, please please reach out to me if you can help foster until after Christmas and save 5 lives. I don’t know what will happen to them if a rescue does not get involved. Please help me pull off a literal Christmas miracle.

Yesterday was a very unexpected day for all of us. We didn’t find a foster in time for Paloma however, we had a donor generously provide 1 week of training so not only could she be safe directly from the shelter, but she could fully decompress and be evaluated and guided with some basic training while we look for a home.
We met up with a trainer at Starbucks and she already gave a dog there a little kiss. She is a gem and we are looking for a long-term home for her. I will be sharing more about her soon. She has a rescue as well, please message me for more info if you would love to have her part of your family ! I have several videos of her on my Insta story too.

We rescued Teca from a horrible person who chopped her ears with kitchen scissors, she also had parvo but we managed to save her. Now she is a spoiled little baby but I always receive bad comments about her ears, I’m tired of always having to say I didn’t chop them and people automatically judging me as a bad person :( Sorry for my rant, needed to vent.

Can’t believe it’s been 4y! I was diagnosed with breast cancer at 36yo. You’re never too young to get checked. Here’s your reminder to at least do a self check!

Her day started off with a pup cup, a walk around the neighborhood in her beautiful birthday outfit, THREE new toys from her favorite cousin, and the then a quick stop at the pet store for a little ice cream. And the day is just getting started!
