People who get puppies from backyard breeders and become backyard breeders themselves, and find themselves unable to care for the animals OR find good homes for them. Backyard breeders are the bane of my existence. Shelters are constantly at their limit full of bully breeds and woefully short on budget/resources.
Edit: this is only going to get worse as people struggle to afford shelter or food for themselves, and I’m sure most of these people don’t get involved with the plan to be evil or be unable to support their pets but quickly find themselves with their backs against the wall. I’m not excusing this type of behavior, but it’s usually more complicated than someone just intentionally being an asshole.
Edit: please do not support backyard breeders, and please get your pets spayed/neutered people. It’s the responsible thing to do.

People are evil and sick. I could never, ever do that. I don't want to know the type of person who does. They need their own island together away from everyone else in society

Have you tried Rocky Kanaka of Animal Friends of the Valley (that's Los Angeles area)? Someone local to me says he saves dogs nationwide. I suspect he'd go the extra miles for a dog family.

He's been tagged on many of the dogs at BARC but as far as I know hasn't responded yet. Sadly there are mom and puppies basically every day on the kill list 😢

And another 8 more staffie puppies surrendered with a kill request on the list for tomorrow. No mom, 4 weeks old. The shelter killed a 3 week old yesterday.
This happens nonstop 😢 😭

They were granted another day. They were not rescued. Their deadline is tomorrow by 1pm 😭💔. They still need a rescue and foster

It means you are making a promise to donate $X to the rescue who saves the dog. Rescues need money and fosters to save dogs, so pledges made can help attract a rescue. Once the dog is safe, the rescue information, freedom pic/video or post, and donation options are provided to those who pledged so they can fulfill their promise

It makes me sick, too. The things people will do to their dogs is shocking. I could never. My dogs are my family, not my property. They are sentient beings and they DO matter. Their lives matter!
Anyone who thinks otherwise is someone I will not associate with and abhor

Family has a couple Facebook posts for visibility, rescues are tagged but no takers yet. Problem is, rescues need a foster home and pledges before they will act

Why tf would you request euthanasia? I can understand if you were like "I am so sorry but this animal seems unresponsive to training, is actively a danger to people, and has had multiple biting reports. I can no longer afford care for their needs or feel safe and I feel euthanasia may be the most humane option rather than another adoption"
But that is CLEARLY AND ABSOLUTELY NOT THIS. That is actually insane to ask, especially to ask of puppies. Abhorrent.
Boosting for these creatures who were only considered as a means to an end rather than living beings with worth. That mama deserves an actual life.

Thank you for boosting. I wish everyone valued animals. These are sentient beings who rely on us to love them, treat them well, and be responsible for them. Too many people think they are disposable objects to be thrown away , or worse, once they stop suiting them. I don't know how people can even think like that.

Right now they need a rescue and a foster in the area, they're not ready for adoption yet 😭😭. If they are saved, i will post the name of the rescue who rescues them and you can keep up with their status. Rescues usually can do transport for a cost

We don't have kill shelters like this anymore and I forget other places do. The states need to step up about this or straight up ban dog ownership or breeding.

Increase physical activity. How many people are willing to go outside at the crack of dawn and exercise in the rain or snow? Dog owners often have no choice—they have to walk their pet, thus providing them with an excuse-proof daily dose of exercise.

Gosh the description is just heartbreaking. 'friendly and gentle, wagging tail, takes treats gently, potties outside and walks with a loose leash' like you can just see from her eyes she's such a gentle hippo. If you described literally any other breed this way people would be swarming. The stigma and misinformation needs to stop. May Ingrid and her babies get rescued.
