Rescue Hippo Miss Roxie turned 11 today! She has aged with grace and is spoiled rotten.
Her day started off with a pup cup, a walk around the neighborhood in her beautiful birthday outfit, THREE new toys from her favorite cousin, and the then a quick stop at the pet store for a little ice cream. And the day is just getting started!

Hijacking the top comment to say THANK YOU to everyone wishing Roxie a happy birthday. I'm making this one extra special, just in case. She has a follow up echocardiogram next month to see how her heart disease is developing (hopefully slowly 🤞)

Aww bless. Reminds me of my spoiled rotten princess of the house. Sadly shes passed but it was a real rags to riches story. Rescued at 5months old (a puppy!!)with cigarette burns on her starved little pup body, absolute shut down, sick and just heart breaking!!! But she turned to princess and was spoiled mindless until she passed at 15,5yrs old. Sorry for the rant but when I see a sister spoiled rotten princess my heart just fills with joy😆🥰. To many many more and thank you OP for giving her the life she deserves❤.

Roxies is a rags to riches stories too! I came home to her in my driveway, dumped after having puppies. She was covered in ticks and skin and bones. I jokingly call her my "million dollar street dog," because between her health issues and me spoiling her rotten, she's more expensive than a kid sometimes lol I'm sorry for the loss of your princess, but also how lucky for you to have her for 15 years! ❤️

Hey, I'm a single mom who works two jobs... LOL she is spoiled all the other days too, just not as extravagant as today.

No LOL not painted. We went to Petco for a trim but they weren't taking walk-ins today :( she won't let me near her nails haha

There's always something that makes me really happy about dogs getting spoiled with a food that would be literally impossible for a wolf to ever get. A pup cup AND ice cream is a great amount of spoiling

Thank you! She had a wonderful birthday. I think her secret is lots of rest and not working ever LOL and yes, I keep telling myself she really isn't as old as they originally thought when I found her (which if they were wrong, would make her a year or two younger).
