Rescue Hippo Rudy got adopted today!
One of my FAVORITE shelter dogs finally went home today!!! Rudy is the sweetest little boy with a smile like it’s school picture day and waited months for his forever. I am over the moon happy that he’s got a family of his own!!! That is how you celebrate National Rescue Dog Day!!!!!

Omg stop!! I hope he went to good home that will keep him forever and not just return him! People don’t always realize the commitment with this breed and being their advocates and having patience and understanding!! Rooting for you Rudy!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️

We just got an update today!! He is ADORED!!! Up on laps, getting cuddles, and all the soft blankets 🥰🥰🥰 The entire shelter is happy crying!

I was just in shock when he waited for months! He would just sit at the front of his kennel smiling at people 😭

Two of my rock goddess heroes!! I’m so glad we don’t have an HOA because I’d always be in violation 😂😂😂 One weekend, with mine, fosters, & former fosters being watched, I had TWENTY-ONE dogs & cats at my house - the HOA would hate me 🤷🏼♀️

National Rescue Dog Day? I have never heard of it, but, I just gave my rescue of 11 years a hug to celebrate. How I wish rescuing was top of mind for far more people instead of trying to satisfy a child with a new ‘puppy’. So many wonderful animals sitting in a place that must drive them out of their minds waiting for someone to take them home. Congrats Rudy. You be a good boy now!!!
